Opal
Princess Opalescence Emily Mila (a.k.a. Opal)
Opalescence, or, as she prefers to be called, Opal, is the Zorra princess of Zorra's Domain and heir to the Zorra throne. She is also the Zorra Champion chosen to pilot the Titan Beast Vah Luma against Scourge. She is blessed with the gift of healing from Eloh and is the chiefest spearwoman in Zorra’s domain.
Unlike other members of her social rank, Opal resents being reminded of her status with titles like "princess", "Champion", or "your highness". She insists on people adressing her simply as Opal, nothing more nothing less. Her father, King Doraphen, likes to call her “river gem” and “my little star” when they are in leisurely company. Triton, her childhood friend, is the only non family member she allows to use her second name. Her second name was chosen by her deceased mother Lona and is the only complete memory Opal has of her, so she guards it closely out of respect and reverence to her mother.
She falls in love with Lenk, the Hiland Champion. Throughout the course of the preparation and final battle with Scourge, their romantic relationship took many turns and even a temporary break up when Lenk chose to persue a simultaneous relationship with Princess Gwendolyn. Opal was deeply hurt by Lenk's choice and it took time for her to forgive him even after he came back to her and sincerely apologized for what he had done. She finally accepted his apology and they began their relationship again, leading to their eventual engagement and marriage.
The Zorra revere her for her kindness and generosity. Although a formidable warrior, she is incredibly shy and quiet. She often views her shyness as an impairment since it makes it difficult for her to voice her feelings to Lenk. Under her shy and timid outer appearance she has a rebellious and adventurous spirit. Her wisdom and intellect are usually enough to keep her out of trouble, but there are occasions where she will make a rash or reckless decision and her adolescence is made apparent.
She is very humble and loves to offer encouragement. Despite viewing Gwen as a threat to her relationship with Lenk at first, she decided to set their differences aside and they become close friends.

History
Targan is a family friend to Opal and grew to care for her after her mother died. She grew to love him like a second father just as he saw her as a surrogate daughter. He was one of the few that knew the true identity of Queen Rovo as he was the one who helped Rovo give birth. Targan was one of the Zorra present when Opal firsst manifested her healing power and was tasked with teaching Opal how to control and use her power to help others. He also doubled as her combat tutor aginst Doraphen's wishes, teaching Opal to fight with a trident as well as basic hand to hand combat in order to protect herself.
History
Triton and Opal were born only a few years apart, which for Zorra is not that laarge of an age gap. They played together while they were young, attended the same classes growing up, and were best friends since either of them could remember. As Opal matured and began to focus her studies on ruling and politics, Triton followed a similar path as an ambassador to stay close to her. They had many special moments together and many believed they would eventually be married. However, after Lenk and Princess Gwen made a diplomatic visit to ask for the Zorra's allegiance, Opal's romantic feelings turned toward Lenk. This made Triton incredibly jealous and hurt and he became verbally aggresive toward Opal which hurt her deeply. When Triton reveals that he had conspired with Sadusa to take over Zorra's Domain in the name of love, Opal begs him to stop and gives him a sincere, heartfelt apology. She tells him he can do better and pleads for him to change. Opal's words soften Triton's heart and he turns against Sadusa and defeats her. Sadly, Sadusa fatally wounds Triton and Opal is unable to save him. With his dying breaths, he confesses his pure love for Opal and begs Lenk to take care of her. After his death, Opal continued to pay her respects to his grave in honor of their friendship and her love for him.
Fears and Insecurities
Opal struggles with fear of losing those she loves. She feels her power to heal obligates her to protect everyone she meets which has helped her develop her selflessness and charity, but it also makes her worry constantly and is very mentally and emotionally exhausting.
Opal also struggles with negative self image. She thinks her navel and stunted height make her undesirable and unattractive. She does not seem to appreciate her natural beauty and works hard to ornament herself with beautiful clothes and jewelry to make herself feel pretty and cover up her navel. She graciously accepts the compliments about her beauty but thinks to herself that they would not say such things if they saw her navel.
