The Scourge of Life (a.k.a. Scourge)

The incarnation and embodiment of hate and anger itself. He is the source of evil and misfortune in the world, seeking to make everyone as miserable as himself. He works by any means to introduce pain and suffering, with no thought for morals, laws or mercy.
He works through his servants Vascilias and Alpha to reign terror on Hiland, using them to bring about a perpetual war. His first servant, Alpha, knows of Scourge's plot and has submitted himself to Scourge's power. Alpha is responsible for Vascilias' father abandoning him under Scourge's direction, as well as Lona's marriage to Doraphen and sudden murder. All of this was to turn Vascilias into the half mad monster he is now.
Vascilias does not know who he works for, only that it is a great power that has promised him his darkest desires. He believes he can harness Scourge's power for his own purposes but does not know that Scourge is slowly corrupting him nor that Alpha is also working with Scourge.
