Gwen is the princess of
Hiland by adoption and heir to the throne of Hiland. She has been blessed with the power of the god
Eloh to bring light in the face of the
Scourge. She has yet to awaken this power.
Although an accomplished sorceress, her inability to awaken her divine power and the responsibility that it bears make her increasingly anxious and insecure. Her insecurity manifests as a short temper and harsh criticism often at
Lenk's expense. She is quick to criticisze his faults and makes frequent snide comments to him about how he is lacking in certain areas while never being satisfied with his performance.
She also begins to develop feelings for Lenk and tries to pursue a relationship with him which causes tension with
Opal. It ends tragically with the revelation that Lenk is her brother.
Gwen will eventually find love.
Gwen’s mother had to send her adrift in a basket to save her from the armies of @Alpha.
Personality Characteristics
She is always eager to improve herself and likes to encourage and praise others. She finds it difficult to receive praise due to her lack of self confidence in her abilities. This lack of self confidence is the cause of her insecurities and makes her seem pessimistic. She becomes close friends with Opal because of her positive influence and encouragement despite the rift caused by the love triangle.
