Inhabitants
Roughly 60% of the population of Dragonshard is Krystali. Most of them are smoky black with a small number of them being white in appearance. The remaining 40 percent is comprised of a mix of Human, Omgar, Dwarf, Tabaxi, and Halflings.Wealth
Because of the beauty of Dragonshard, many of the wealthy have taken residence there. In fact, many people believe that despite being its own town Dragonshard is simply a neighborhood for Kathur's rich to call home.Work Force
The main jobs for the people of Dragonshard are craftsman, merchant, combat tutors, musicians, and historians. Many of the people often travel the two hour journey to Kathur for their work.History
One of the first Krystali Geode Clusters to be discovered by the surface world. Back during the late Silent Age, an ancient red dragon was terrorizing the city of Kathur. The city responded by hiring an entire guild to kill the dragon before more citizens died. During the fight, the dragon was heavily wounded mid-flight and began to crash back down. Engulfed in dragon fire the dragon crashed into a lone mountain not too far outside the city. The force of the dragon's impact destroyed much of the mountain and its fire melt much of the stone there. when the guild arrived to confirm the dragon's death they discovered that the dragon had crashed through the mountain and into a massive crystal geode that made up most of the mountain's interior. It was here that the guild first made contact with the Krystali people of what would be known as Dragonshard.Because of the damage that the dragon caused, much of the mountain was melted or shattered leaving most of the geode without a ceiling and a western side. The openness of the geode cluster and its proximity to Kathur, Dragonshard has developed into a more materialistic settlement than other Krystali Geodes.
Natural Resources
Because of the dragon that opened the geode, there is an abundance of obsidian in the area. The area is also rich in all sorts of minerals and metals.
