The group descends to next level of the Spire, and then heads back to get magical support. After going to sleep in the Spire, they run into an old friend.


The party headed down into the next level of the spire, finding it to be covered in darkness. The group sent Clanky ahead, being the only one who could see in the dark, where he soon ran into a giant crab and it's Undine master, Jarash. There was much negotiation about passing through the water levels, Jarash's main concerns being his crabs and his studies of the spire itself. They presented themselves as enemies of the Master of the Spire, who Jarash noted used clockworks and was somewhere below, and with that Jarash agreed to let them pass. He was unable to give them any other aid however, as he did not have magic for traveling through water, given that he did not need it, being from the Plane of Water himself. He was able to tell them as well that there were further dangers in the chambers beyond, other water creatures, and portals to the plane of water, as well as some system to change the water levels.   The group decided to head back to the surface to seek materials and magics to help them traverse the water levels, heading back to the previous levels, where they noted that the Godbox had disappeared, and decided to camp out there over the objections of Trudy. Trudy turned out to be right, as the group was attacked by the spectral spirit of Caen. With great effort, they were able to drive the spirit off, forcing him to flee. Deciding to leave the tower entirely, they made their way all the way up, and on the outside of the tower, they found a guitar symbol imprinted into the wall, covered in necromantic energy.
