Caster
Magic User
The term caster is defined as anymore that uses Magic. It is a term primary used when speaking of those sapient beings that learn how to manipulate the Anon around them into effects. Animals and creatures with innate magical properties are not considered casters.
Caster Types
A sorcerer is consider the only natural caster. These individuals were born with the ability to control magic to some extent. They must still learn how to do so effectively, but even the uneducated can stumble on to simple Cantrip with practice.
Wizards are those that study the Anon and use magic through this understanding, rather than with any internal energy. They employ tools such as a Wand or Staff to aid in their casting effectiveness.
The cleric is a caster that uses magic through study and prayer. They are often likened to wizards in that they learn to control magic through rituals and methods rather than innate abilities. Clerics focus on the healing power of the Anon.
The druids are those casters that use nature and its connection to magic to cast. They tune their bodies to the power of the Anon within the world around them.
Warlocks originate from the major continent of Dergonhad. The people of the continent, lacking the bloodline of elves and the knowledge learned through wizarding colleges, have mastered magic through pacts with powerful entities that they draw power from. Often likened to clerics on the major continent of Ethae, warlocks differ in that, in most cases, they make deals with these entities rather than enter a worshipful relationship.
