Olfric Kingfinch
Olfric Kingfinch is a supporting character in The Hallow Maiden, and is one of the earliest shown examples of a Perfected Double Walker, one whose Taglock has superceded its human source.
He is younger brother of Olwen of Phoneutria Kingfinch Clan, the children of Sunna's younger sister Sumer Kingfinch and a Larchwold Humourist. They are therefore related to the Larch Kingfinch Family through their uncle's marriage to Sarhild. They were sent to study with the Hooded Mothers in Hol Gheal where their father worked, alongside their distant cousin Sigrid. During the Hol Gheal Disaster, their father was falsely charged with treason and executed, prompting Olfric and Olwen to escape into the nearby Naefergrene Forest where they both died of exposure.
Olfric, who was discovered by Old Nick first, recognized him from Sigrid's descriptions of the clinic. He kidnapped a Clockmaker and forced them to turn Olfric into a Double Walker, using a Goodwitch made by the Resurrectionist Dagwoode. Olfric then found Ashur, acting as a guide, in exchange for the Sin-eater returning his father's items and helping revive Olwen.
