Battle of Deorcan Station

The battle of Deorcan Station took place on the outskirts of the town of Hol Gheal, between the army of Earlen Harlow of the Belanos and Aethelflaed of the Dolomedes.

It began after years of the Dolomedes suffering under poor crops and disease caused by the pollution from nearby mines, resulting in ultimately killing off a third of the population (it is likely it was anthrax but the cause isn't proven). They abandoned Ceowan and moved down the mountain, intending to resettle in the Deornet Valley.

Aethelflaed's troops were able to push against Harlow's, defeating a majority of her troops but unable to restrain the majority Belanos settlers from rioting. They entered into a truce by marrying Aethelflaed's son Oswald to Harlow's daughter and heir Sigrid.
