[...]Through my farlens, I could see the commotion on the streets below. As was to be expected, the shore guard has been deployed. Groups of people wearing uniforms with Black and Red threads incorporated into them ran towards the docks. Some even already manned their ballistae. What wasn't expected was that instead of just Southern Witch of Weaponry being there, the Librarian and Treasurer stood near her. Something big was about to happen...Living by the sea is dangerous thanks to many things. First is the high concentration of Blue Color, proximity of which can lead to the Oversaturation (condition) or even death. The second is the presence of beings that can live in such an environment. Because of their attacks, the Shore guard has been founded in Golvageth city not long after its creation.
WeaponsThe most well-known weapon used by the shore guard is the one they use before monsters even get close to the city. Their manned ballistae. With 100 of them around Golvageth, each with a supply of bolts created specifically to counteract different creatures (like hooks which open after piercing the threat to sever its limbs, saw-bolts, or even missiles that can be filled with Colors), it's no wonder almost none of them manage to get to the docks. However, if any threat breaches the first defense, each member of the shore guard is equipped with portable harpoon guns (both rifles and handgun versions), and either piercing or cutting melee weapons.
ApparelAside from the low-rank novices, all of the shore guards wear tailored uniforms enhanced by Color embroidery with Black and Red metal threads. Depending on their rank, they will have more threads sown in. The Black one enhances their physical strength, reflexes, and speed, while the Red one, using the aspect of safety lessens any wounds they might suffer and rises the chance of the enemy hits hitting.
