Structure
The Virtuous Order:
The Chosen of the Virtuous Order reports any minor or average crimes to the Elders of Claritas, who then offer the appropriate punishment, thus do not have much power in Freedom's Pass other than collecting and providing evidence and defending and prosecuting the prisoners. The Melodics and Flames are the keen eyes of the Order, watching what takes place in C'avarnia.
The Haven of Solaris:
Within the Haven of Solaris, 200-300 priests and priestesses worship Nelaeryn, abiding by his many teachings. Two leaders within this establishment share the power and are equal. These two are known as the Solemn, for they are both formal and dignified in their efforts and work.

Culture
Most of the high elves within the walls of C'avarnia share similar characteristics and are often opposed to the outside world. The culture is dynamic and relatively learned; however, its traditional culture is one the high elves genuinely follow. However, high elves do have the choice to adapt to more modern cultures if they see fit. Its traditional culture was the belief that the Starlight Veil must endure preserving our life,' as addressed by their god, Nelaeryn. A culture of stability, resilience and authentic thoughts. It is known to keep the fairest and wisest of any Elven race within its walls, and while the elves physically age at a slower rate and are not subject to illness, they can be affected by extreme negative emotion. However, if the Starlight Veil falls ill, the elves will lose their exceptional immunity and become vulnerable to disease.
Within the Haven of Solaris, the atmosphere is primarily calming and welcoming, offering the aroma of freshly watered sage and scented musk candles upon entry. The only time this establishment may invoke a sense of terror is when the capital is under attack. The building also gives off an affectionate and welcoming aura to the natives and those who are not from the kingdom. Even though elves within Aethel Caeloria are often opposed to other races, the High Priest and High Priestess have learned to accept others to believe in Nelaeryn as their own as he would have accepted all elves regardless of race. This is something the Chosen teach to all within to learn their god's accepting and forgiving ways.
Public Agenda
Nelaeryn's Word:
"I, Nelaeryn, will honour you as you have honoured me. I will offer your lands abundant crops in exchange for your labour. I will offer protection against those who dare to harm you. I will offer justice in the face of wrongdoing. All I ask of you is to believe in me and exchange a part of your soul so that I may keep it safe within my gentle grasp, for the path into the unknown is frightening. I will not walk as your God but instead your equal so that we may wander the path together as friends. Fight for me, and I will protect you. Love your life, and you will be reborn as an elf eternally blessed by your God."
Assets
The Haven of Solaris is well known throughout the lands of Aethel Caeloria and beyond. While it may not be considered grand, its artwork and religious teachings bring a sense of glory to any elves' souls who wish to devote their lives to the holy place due to the building being a place of religion and education. The teachings of Nelaeryn have a lasting effect on those who wish to learn of his sacred principles. It is considered as crucial as Varcanai Palace, holding the utmost significance in the capital and Freedom's Pass. Its inviting atmosphere welcomes all to learn about the ways of Nelaeryn. The building is the same size as Freedom's Pass, with an arched hollow belfry atop its roof. There is a range of different sized rooms within the building, and it only has two floors. See the assets of the building below:
The Architecture:
- Exterior Architecture: It took the form of a predominantly white, light brown, light grey, and black structure that stood on a circular foundation and had an arched doorway with two saer octagon doorknobs. The design alone was dome-shaped, consisting of two floors with an inner rotunda in the centre reaching up to the roof. Just outside of the building is hanging shrubbery between the portico columns filled with white, black, brown, and grey orchids.
- The Entrance: Three grey marble steps with a four columned white portico and a curved pediment took the form of the entrance. The pediment has the words, "Dearest Nelaeryn, I Offer My Soul", carved in old elvish and filled with gold. The doors are always open, allowing natural light to enter the building.
- The Staircase: Alongside the curved walls in the corners are two light brown wooden staircases leading to the first floor.
- Inner Stand: The inner stand has two black marbled steps with golden outlines and four tall white marbled columns around it with intricate floral decorations along the shaft, capital, and pedestal. The primary columns reach the ceiling and spread outwards to surround the chandelier. Hanging on the outer parts of the columns are velvet white and silver banners of House Aalarelai and the Hyphicen. Within this stand is a curved stone wall with the principles of Nelaeryn carved into it and a statue of Nelaeryn, which is the key feature of the entire building. A vast paved path leads up to the central stand from the entrance.
- The Statue of Nelaeryn: The statue of Nelaeryn is made of white marble with glistening golden outlines throughout its structure. It stands on a three-layered black marble plinth. He is kneeling wearing a saer robe across his shoulders and down to his thighs. His hands are cupped in front of him with a rock flat black bowl in the centre. The bowl has water inside it. Surrounding the statue are smaller smooth rock-like bowls with singular candles hanging from the stand's roof. On a small grey stone block is a golden candle.
- Glasswork: White stained arch-shaped Qerumian glass surrounding the entire building.
- The Roof: The hollow roof of the building has an arched belfry in the centre with two saer horns atop it.
- The Interior: The structure's interior is incredibly spacious and filled with coloured walls, golden trimming, and light brown wooden flooring. There are two floors to the building, separated by a bold white and grey skirting board. Along each floor is a light grey twisted bannister rail that reaches from one end to the other on both floors. There is paintwork of high elves' perception of Nelaeryn throughout the years surrounding the walls throughout Aethel Caelorian history. The art looks like a continued canvas from each reign of the kingdom, with spaces here and there left blank.
- Lighting: A crystalline chandelier hangs by long cords above the inner dome. There are black sconces around the walls with small candles for illumination once the night arrives. These sconces are also placed in each room, and natural lighting comes through the windows.
- The Ground Floor: The ground floor has fifteen rooms spread around the structure's walls. Each room on the ground floor is used to preserve the teachings of Nelaeryn through copied tomes, books, scrolls, and ancient texts. The rooms are also used for assisting practising elves in becoming fully-fledged priests of the Haven of Solaris. National Service elves are often found in these rooms. The originals are located within Incrementum.
- The First Floor: The first floor has an awe-inspiring circular sweep of the ceiling, with its remarkable vast space and gold banding. There are arch-shaped entryways along the bannister rail, with fifteen rooms spread evenly along the entire floor. Each room possesses a black arched door with either white or saer round doorknobs. Each room is used for educational purposes, teaching elflings and elves alike the principles of Nelaeryn. These rooms have rows of smooth, light brown wooden benches along either side, with a white stand near the end of the room for the priests to read from historical texts as a means of teaching.
- The Rooms of Equity: There are ten of these large rooms in total, accommodating the Melodics and the Flames. The bedrooms are designed to the elves' liking adding a comforting touch and a sense of individuality. Each room has multiple beds with a purple laced canopy attached to the ceiling. At the end of each bed is a chest for personal belongings and a communal bathroom within a different room section.
- The Rooms of Ascent: There are only two of these rooms primarily for the Chosen. Both elves are given a separate room to do as they please. Still, it is significantly larger than the rooms of equity, possessing a private study, a private bathroom, large arched stained windows, and a reading space. The Chosen can do what they like with their rooms, as can the Melodics and the Flames, adding a sense of individuality and comfort to them.
- His Selfless Heart: A stand with tall columns is in the centre of the building. This is a prayer stand for any who wishes to say their prayers to Nelaeryn. Once a prayer has been said either aloud or internally, elves must place either a tanzine, canthil, or a silver lily petal into one of the surrounding bowls. Once the petal is placed into the bowl, it dissolves overnight, indicating that Nelaeryn has acknowledged and heard the elves' prayer.
- The Eyes of Nelaeryn: These rooms are located on the ground floor and consist of all the historical texts that only the fully-fledged priests can access.
- The Lips of Wisdom: These rooms are located on the first floor and comprise the teachings of Nelaeryn from the lips of the priests who translate from the historical texts. This is a way of imparting the wisdom of the ages down to each generation, regarding the traditional religion of their god.
- The Voice of Nelaeryn: The Horns of Nelaeryn sound angelic with a high pitch alerting elves hundreds of miles away. The horns are saer, long, and twisted but form one hole for an elf to blow through. This horn is used as a warning indicator for the kingdom if it is under threat. However, it is also used for royal marriages and the death of royalty.
- His Selfless Hands: This is the main hall upon entry, and all priests are required to clean and maintain the building to the highest standards. This earns them their selfless quality, especially as elves who need assistance come to the Haven of Solaris for solace and spiritual help.

Territories
The Haven of Solaris is found within Filarion Plaza and surrounding it are the establishments, Freedom's Pass, the market, the Ivory Orchid and more.
Military
There are no military forces outside the Haven of Solaris. The only time forces are placed outside is if the capital is under attack or is at risk of being threatened.
Religion
The primary religion within C'avarnia is the worship of Nelaeryn. It is not forbidden to practise any other religion, but it is frowned upon as Aethel Caeloria prides itself on its traditional beliefs. The Haven of Solaris' Chosen does their best to learn of other religions so that they have the answers to any questions posed by the uneducated. Additionally, the Chosen welcomes inquiries from other faiths. It gives them the tools to conduct further research and compare it to their god to see the possible resemblances of god-like qualities.
It is primarily the elderly elves who are set upon devoting their lives to the worship of Nelaeryn, but the younger generations are open to more than one. This often causes a divide between the young and the old, and the Haven of Solaris is caught in the middle appeasing neither side but instead standing as a barricade between the opposing forces. The chosen flames and melodic do their best to ease the stresses of both sides, offering kind words and teaching either side what Nelaeryn would have done from his ancient texts.
Foreign Relations
The Haven of Solaris' doors are always open to any who wish to learn and respect the principles of Nelaeryn; therefore, foreign relations are welcomed should they make themselves present.
Education
General Education:
Education for elflings, adolescents, and elves of adult ages are taught by the melodics and flames. This comprises the fundamental knowledge of Aethel Caelorian history and manners in modern-day society. They cover the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language aspects of life to help with development later on. Many of the Haven of Solaris classes are also advanced, offering elves of all ages a deeper insight into their chosen topics and the basics of survival in and out of the kingdom.
Self Defence:
Those who have chosen the Haven of Solaris for their national service will undergo a few years of self-defence training alongside their studies to ensure they know how to protect themselves from danger. While weapons are not used in the building, elves are taken to the Summergloss Fields within Epanon and Veanno to practise. Here they are protected by both the Varcanai Guard and the Caelorian Incline. The elves in question are trained in the art of daggers, short swords and shields by Melodics and Flames.
The Acting Chosen Education:
The Melodic and Flame who have been chosen by the high priest and high priestess will need to have undergone a vast majority of education before becoming the successors to the chosen. The elves selected will also undergo advanced combat training by the Varcanai Guard to ensure they are well-equipped for any situation. Education as below:

Infrastructure
The Infrastructure of Freedom's Pass is relatively simple:
- Jujinal Wall: Around the outside of the entire kingdom is the impenetrable wall of Jujinal carved during 2397 NE – 1675 NE. This wall was carved to resemble a crown from an isometric and bird-eye viewpoint. From a direct point of view, it appears to be a towering structure.
- Sewage: This is controlled through drains found throughout the kingdom. The sewage of the kingdom is filtered then released beyond the Ca'rthavial Vales to ensure no harm comes to the waters and sea life.
- Roads/Pathways: All roads within the kingdom of Aethel Caeloria are connected from Dihavanor's Sphere in the centre. The roads expand out towards House M'ithai, House Tythal, the Ca'rthavial Vales and along the kingdom's borders.
- Freedom's Pass: Within Filarion Plaza is the Elders of Claritas courtroom, where average and significant crimes are given a verdict and the King's final ruling. It is where judgment is passed, and the laws are upheld.
- The Ivory Orchid: Next to Freedom's Pass is the Ivory Orchid, the only established tavern within all the lands of Aethel Caeloria. It is often busy with elves tumbling in and out of its doors.
Mythology & Lore
Nelaeryn's Mighty Canvas:
The most significant perception of Aethel Caeloria's creation derives from records stating how elves believed the great kingdom was forged. Some texts and paintings convey how they believe Nelaeryn created the kingdom. Some say that the ocean beyond the Ca'rthavial Vales was filled with tears of happiness. The lands were sculpted in his hands, similar to how a potter makes pottery. The flora of the kingdom bloomed from his gentle breath, breathing life into them and growing tall around the great mountain. Furthermore, the fauna throughout the land was born from his thoughts and emotions, coming into existence with a beating heart.
The Wreath of Light:
It is written that the Ca'rthavial Vales is where Nelaeryn's heart resides. Through the shining light of the Caelorian Avialgeontrix, each avial gemstone embedded on the cliff's edge bears a portion of his heart within it, which causes the natural starlight to shine so brightly. This is why high elves deem the area sacred; it is considered the thinking spot of Nelaeryn.
The Falling Sky:
Elves believe the soul of Nelaeryn resides within the core of the Caelorian Avialgeontrix star, which can be seen above the kingdom, offering it its light day and night. It is so bright that it illuminates the surrounding oceans and into the depths. Many excerpts tell of something so dark that none could ever visualise it throughout history. This myth is known as 'The Falling Sky.' Throughout history, there have been multiple excerpts from common elves and royalty alike telling others of the 'Falling Sky.' These same elves even described having visions of and causing widespread panic, but one verse was always the same. The authors of these scriptures remained anonymous for the sake of their safety. The preceding verse is as below:
'Upon thy awakening, I saw a sky filled with stars shining ever-bright.
T'was a beacon of hope for many far and wide, offering direction and purpose to the lost and found.
Alas, something changed, for the earth beneath thine feet rumbled a mighty roar.
The air turned cold enough for my breath to turn into that of a dragon.
The grass withered before thy eyes, and the Starlight Veil's core perished to ash.
Saer streams evaporated into steam, and I could feel a burning sensation along thy skin.
The day turned to darkness, and a great shadow was cast over the kingdom.
I looked to the stars, where they dimmed one by one, engulfing themselves in darkness.
Three remaining there were, but something was amiss.
They appeared closer than usual.
Closer they came, and closer and closer until I realised... the end of days haveth come.
Nelaeryn's soul is angry, for we elves have not abided by his sacred principles.
The sky is falling, and we are doomed to die at his ever-ceasing hand.'
The Descent of Chaos:
An anonymous painter during the first reign of Aethel Caeloria and his elflings throughout history have had visions of the Caelorian Avialgeontrix, the Mydha, and the Athominia descending to Aethel Caeloria amidst a great flood, eradicating all life beneath the great mountain. Many have tried to translate it throughout history, but it became more challenging once the images changed over the many generations. This piece was titled, The Descent of Chaos, for all life became none in one swift motion. All life within the kingdom lay dead, and elves saw their skin being burned from their bodies before their very eyes.
Endium of Caeloria:
Three events have been noted throughout history by the D'ivalorth, Vythai, and Seed of the Starlight Veil, which have become known as certain future events, though no one knows when they will occur. Each takes an isometric view and the form of a detailed painting within Silencium telling what the pictures may depict. These images are noted as the most famous portraits ever created within the lands of Aethel Caeloria:
- The White Plight: This picture shows the lands of Aethel Caeloria covered in steep white snow covering all the lands. The Starlight Veil and the Ca'rthavial Vales were covered too but emitted bright starlight from their cores.
- Shower of Arrows: The picture shows a group of elves standing before the Starlight Veil amidst steep snow, looking up towards the sky to see arrow-shaped shards with starlight radiating from them hurling towards the lands of Aethel Caeloria at an incredible speed. Many scholars have tried to translate this painting but have struggled to do so successfully. Some depict it as the kingdom's creation, whereas others believe it to be an event before the end of days. It is still up for interpretation.
- The Great Darkness: This picture shows three stars plummeting towards the ground on a completely black canvas. No one knows what this means, but anytime the sky is entirely black, those who have studied the art of paintings within Silencium become nervous, not knowing whether the end of days has come.
Divine Origins
The worship came from Miha Aalarelai's reign in 2998 NE. Upon Aethel Caeloria's creation, a large smooth stone wall bore the principles of Nelaeryn upon it, providing Miha with a means of appreciation for the god who gave him and his people life.
Cosmological Views
The most profound creation of Nelaeryn was the making of Ca'rthavial Elves, who would rule over his people and lead them into the future, teaching each generation of his divine accomplishment. The Ca'rthavial Elves came to be known as House Aalarelai, and they ruled over the high elves of the kingdom.
The Starlight Veil:
Nelaeryn knew that the elves made in his image would resort to worshipping false idols, so he made a mystical and sacred monument placing it in the centre of the great kingdom atop the grand mountain. Within this monument, he put a segment of his mind, heart, and soul inside to ensure the people would remain forever loyal and bewildered at the miracles it could perform.
The Legendary Creatures of Aethel Caeloria:
Initially, two legendary creatures preoccupied the kingdom. There was the T'wiphray and the Hyphicen, but due to natural selection, the T'wiphray died, leaving the Hyphicen with the 'legendary' title. Throughout history, it is written that upon the T'wiphray's demise, the remnants of its soul was transferred into the Hyphicen's, making it a complete reincarnation of Nelaeryn through an animalistic form.
The Caelorian Avialgeontrix, Mydha, and Athominia:
Throughout history, painters, poets, and authors alike have tried to explain the significance of these three stars, but to no avail. The stars are always noted as beacons lighting up the night sky and offering high elves below a sense of spiritual fulfilment, knowing that Nelaeryn offered three parts of himself to them; his mind, heart, and soul. The Caelorian Avialgeontrix is associated with his soul. Mydha is associated with his heart. Lastly, Athominia is associated with his mind. Many call the trio 'The Three Pillars,' whereas others call them 'The Three Foundations of Oneself.'
Tenets of Faith
The Principles of Nelaeryn:
There are twelve teachings of Nelaeryn that the Chosen protect at all costs due to how divine and ancient it is. The wall is made of stone and curves slightly, making it suitable for the inner stand within the Haven of Solaris because it fits almost perfectly. The carved words within the stone are deep and clear. Each letter is filled with gold and has a bold saer outline around it. Each law is written in old Elvish, L'aiavanto. Principles as below:
- Thou shall not take life for granted
- Abide by thy promises and reap a life of reward
- Repay intermittent violence with mercy and incessant slaughter with death
- Thou shall be sincere to all and seek inner peace, for balance results in equilibrium
- Desire no more than thy fair share
- Act not without care
- Teach all to question the world so that they may too explore my creations
- Detach thyself from dark desires, cleanse thy soul, and follow thine light
- Cause not mayhem nor chaos, but hope and guidance for lost souls
- Live with duty and seek to preserve life in its abundance
- Honour the quill over the sword
- Stimulate creativity and curiosity throughout all parts of life
Ethics
The Extended Principles of Nelaeryn:
- Thou shall not take life for granted: All elves must live life to the best of their ability and seize every opportunity to experience the fruits of life offered. Live mindfully and be present in your actions, for then, you will not miss out on joy. Today may be present, but tomorrow may not be. Another day is never guaranteed, for tragedy can strike unexpectedly.
- Abide by thy promises and reap a life of reward: As long as elves obey the promise of Nelaeryn, their life will be one of fortunate and happiness, rewards many can only dream of. Keeping one's promises results in higher emotional intelligence and strengthened loyalty. Abiding by a promise develops personal integrity and commitment. The act itself is an affirmation of any relationship, bringing one an enviable reputation for dependability, trust, and reliability.
- Repay intermittent violence with mercy and incessant slaughter with death: Do not condone aggressive confrontation, but one must repay merciless slaughter with death. Do not allow the guilty to go unpunished for merciless slaughter would drench the ground with the blood of innocents, igniting the start of bloodlust within elves. However, offer a scare deterrent to those who consider the path of violence, offering them a sense of mercy at your behest. Compassion is often better than death, for elves will usually change their ways.
- Thou shall be sincere to all and seek inner peace, for balance results in equilibrium: Tell the truth in all aspects of life and observe how balanced your life becomes without the weight of deceit. Regardless of what it may be, the truth will set you free and build your character. Aethel Caelorian society cannot exist if lying is the fluent language of elves. Sincerity offers a peaceful and happy life in the face of adversity, offering great value and a clear conscious. Remaining truthful can also be respected by one's enemies as it is perceived as a commendable virtue, one more valuable than any gemstone. A society cannot exist on a foundation of lies, for it will crumble at the slightest nuisance, thus causing great suffering.
- Desire no more than thy fair share: Do not yearn for more than you already have, and be reasonable with your belongings. Get to know yourself before you covet what others bear. Desiring the materialism of others causes jealousy, envy, and greed to seep into one's heart, later resulting in hatred. That is a dangerous path to walk for anyone. However, sharing gives one a sense of responsibility towards society, showing that you care and love those without a fair amount.
- Act not without care: Act with kindness throughout your life. Remember to treat others how you would expect to be treated and live by it. Respecting other people's feelings is essential, but your own is even more significant, for your welfare comes before anyone else's.
- Teach all to question the world so that they may too explore my creations: Facilitate the use of questioning, for it will encourage active discussions, empower the uneducated with a better understanding, motivates elves to engage more, develops listening and speaking abilities, foster respect for other elves' opinions, and establishes critical thinking in the minds of all.
- Detach thyself from dark desires, cleanse thy soul, and follow thine light: Do not yearn for objects or elves that are not good for you. Please do not give in to the darkness, for it will devour your soul. Remember to ask for forgiveness or pray to cleanse your soul and lead you back onto the path of light.
- Cause not mayhem nor chaos, but hope and guidance for lost souls: Do not cause disorder throughout all the lands, but instead, offer advice to the lost, and from that, hope will shortly follow. Be a light source for those unable to pull themselves up from the pit of despair.
- Live with duty and seek to preserve life in its abundance: Live life with responsibility, and you gain a sense of worth in your life.
- Honour the quill over the sword: Words are more powerful than violence. Writing is more significant than power and war. Without the quill, history would not be remembered to condemn past grievances and celebrate former accomplishments.
- Stimulate creativity and curiosity throughout all parts of life: Use your imagination throughout life to paint your own story. Please do not allow anyone to pick up your brush, for it is your life.
- Do not covet what others possess
- Be not prideful in your mannerisms or thoughts
- Be not envious, for you will fall
- Lust after none
- Do not allow drunkenness
- Control your inner wrath
- Do not relent in your efforts
- Show modesty to all
- Show charity to those in need and the fortunate
- Allow your fertile springs to flourish
- Be thankful for everything and everyone
- Abstain from alcoholic consumption to see the world in a clearer light
- Wait and observe. Silence is often better than the spoken word
- Push yourself to the limit
Worship
Worship can take many forms, but the most obvious one within the Haven of Solaris is in the centre of the building's inner stand, where the statue of Nelaeryn resides. However, worship is not a necessary part of the religious establishment, for Nelaeryn values silent prayer over the spoken word. How elves worship the god is up to them as long as it doesn't harm anyone or anything else.
The Chosen, however, are required to take a 10-year pilgrimage every 100 years to ensure the prayers of Aethel Caeloria have been acknowledged and accepted, providing high elves with the continual protection and guidance of Nelaeryn. To ensure the acting chosen receives the experience needed, either the high priest or high priestess and one of the acting chosen will go on this pilgrimage. At the same time, the other two remain at the Haven of Solaris to ensure the establishment runs smoothly and efficiently. Melodics and Flames can accompany these elves if they wish.
Priesthood
Those appointed to become anointed members within the Haven of Solaris must undergo a thorough process, and each class must undergo a different approach. The Chosen must experience the most, for they are the heads of the Virtuous Order and the religious establishment heads.
The Chosen:
Due to the chosen leading the Haven of Solaris, the two elves must partake in a few events to become affiliated as the High Priest and High Priestess of the establishment and the Virtuous Order, which occurs over 200 years. See as below:
The Virtuous Order Sacrament:
The reigning sovereign of Aethel Caeloria must officiate this ceremony to ensure elves are officially recognised as the fully-fledged members of the Haven of Solaris establishment. On the last day of the annual year, elves are taken to the Starlight Veil, where a wooden jug of cold clear water is poured atop their heads. This recognises them as blessed by Nelaeryn offering the people with his solemn words of wisdom and light. Once the water has been poured, they will become officially fledged Melodics or Flames. The chosen will then announce the elves as the melodic or flames of the Virtuous Order, placing the new robes on them and walking them into the Haven of Solaris. The elves must then repeat this statement next to the statue of Nelaeryn as a promise to their role:
Ceremony of the Melodics and Flames: This occurs when the Melodics and Flames have completed their classes. There are two names based on whether the elves are elf or elfa, but both ceremonies are the same. The celebration begins with the elves dressing in a white gowns and washing their hands. Once they have done this, they will approach the statue of Nelaeryn in the centre of the Haven of Solaris and repeat his translated promise. To acknowledge equilibrium among the primary elements, the elfa's and elf's undergoing the ceremony must hold up different coloured bowls to the statue and remain there until the chosen say otherwise.
- The 50 Year Pilgrimage: The High Priest and High Priestess must undergo a 100-year pilgrimage taking them around Caede Galair to pray to Nelaeryn and learn of the other gods. Upon learning of the alternate gods, the chosen must appreciate the value of atonement. Along their travels, they must offer their services to each kingdom leader and provide an offering of good faith to each sacred monument, showing that the chosen are respectful to all.
- The 100 Year Prayer: During this pilgrimage, the two chosen are expected to pray for at least fifty years to ensure they acknowledge the prayers of their people, offering burned leaves into a white flame ignited with an avial gemstone onto washed and carved sticks. The flame will alternate between yellow and white. Once a prayer is given to the flame, it will turn white to show that Nelaeryn has acknowledged it. Each devotion is written on a silk leaf and then passed on to the chosen to take to Nelaeryn.
- The 50 Year Atonement: Upon the end of the 50-year prayer, the chosen must atone for all sins within their lands. It starts with the official prayer of Nelaeryn. Both elves speak each Varcanian name within the kingdom aloud and in their head, offering them forgiveness and guidance throughout their lives. The names of all Varcanian elves are etched on a scroll secured with a golden lace, which is considered wholly sacred.
- 'I offer myself to the will and mercy of Nelaeryn and his holiness. I promise to persecute those who believe themselves above the laws and deliver mercy to those wronged. My duty as the chosen is one I do not take lightly, for I am the voice of Nelaeryn, and I will impart his wisdom to those who seek it.'
- 'I offer myself to the will of Nelaeryn and his holiness. I promise to observe those who believe themselves above the laws and offer comfort to those wronged. My duty as a Melodic/Flame is one I do not take lightly, for I am the eyes of Nelaeryn, and I will impart his wisdom to those who seek it.'
The Melodics and Flames:
To become officially-fledged members of the Haven of Solaris, the Melodics and Flames must endure two classes. This can only be undertaken once the elves and the chosen deem themselves ready:
- The 25 Year Pilgrimage of Righteousness: Melodics and Flames must undergo a 25-year pilgrimage within any land in Caede Galair. In their travels, the elves must pray at the end of each week, meditate regularly, self-reflect, and demonstrate the qualities of righteousness in different circumstances that would require their sense of judgement to occur. These qualities include using moral judgment, arising from a sense of justice, living a blameless life, speaking only the truth, living away from wickedness, honouring the gods, refusing monetary bribes, and protecting the innocent from harm. Once the pilgrimage has been completed, the elves must plant a tree to show that they have completed it, and the roots of that tree will be considered righteous in the eyes of Nelaeryn.
- Nelaeryn's Heart and Selfless Hands: Once the elves return to the kingdom, they must demonstrate selflessness and a good heart to less fortunate elves who have not had an easy life. Through their selflessness, they will gain the blessings of the chosen and will be credited for their hard work. This takes place for ten years.
- Undifferentiated Chaos: The Melodics (elfa) hold a white bowl in their hands filled with clear and untainted water.

Political Influence & Intrigue
The Chosen try their best to refrain from speaking about politics in a place of worship, as differing perspectives and heated arguments often follow. The chosen want to keep the establishment free from politics; therefore, they only discuss matters regarding the Virtuous Order behind closed doors. This is something they also inform the melodic and flames, for they want the establishment to remain corruption-free and welcoming to any who enters its doors.
"Dearest Nelaeryn, I Offer My Soul."
The Haven of Solaris: This is where the worship of Nelaeryn occurs. Over two hundred Melodics and Flames reside here, learning the principles of Nelaeryn. This religion advocates the learning of other divine beings, making it somewhat relaxed.
The Virtuous Order: This Order pass on information of immorality to the kingdom's council, who will then present that information to the King, then finally to the Elders of Claritas. While the Elders are below the King, they have power enough to convict those who have committed unlawful crimes. The Melodics and Flames of this establishment are the watchful eyes of the Order, passing any suspicious activity onto the acting Chosen, who will then pass it onto their mentors.
