Vicra Lammergeyer's Lair

Outside, and even immediately inside, the lair doesn't look like anything other than a typical nest of Ankhegs going about their business.

Design

The lair consists of three main floors.

First Floor

At first, there are just Ankhegs going about their business. If you go far enough in the right direction, you will stumble upon large metal doors that block your entrance into the "Turmoil Containment Zone", where an unpredictable assortment of strange creatures, traps, and other encounters make it difficult to navigate.

Second Floor

Down a set of stairs protected by a high-security door, this entire floor is supposed to be some sort of twisted art gallery run by cultists. The pre-existing tunnels remain, but nearly every reasonably large chamber is protected by a high-security door. Most of these doors, especially near the entrance from the first floor, require something more than just a key to pass through.

Third Floor

Just beyond the second floor's "Waiting Room" is a zone that resembles a doctor's office with large areas under construction. The office is a strange bureaucracy that's run by several "Heads", each of which seems focused on a single aspect of the office. Deeper in, however, the traditional "office" motif gives way to the more expected — but not more welcome — structures that one might expect in the lair of someone who uses forbidden magic to alter bodies and souls.

More?

The dungeon has not been completely revealed. It is unknown if there are additional floors beyond the third floor, or any significantly different zones on the other floors.

Denizens

First Floor

Father Longlegs, a large spider that has an entire human where its head should be. The human seems to have been a cleric. Deceased.   A Turmoil-affected dog, initially found barking at a unicorn. Has been seen sprouting spider legs in order to move faster and climb up and around walls. Named "Barf" by the party. Left on the first floor.

Second Floor

Pigeon, a drug-addicted cultist who created (or found) a journal that helped him when he would forget how to get through each of the doors on the second floor. Deceased.   "The Surgeon", a spider-like humanoid who was very efficient at cutting up victims on the operating table for the cultists' experiments. Deceased.   Six "High Cultists", each entrusted with a "Fossilized Melody" that is involved with Vicra's resurrection process. Two of them, "Snipe" and "Crow", were killed by the party.   An elven member of The Hounds Guild was held prisoner by the cultists, hiding from Dennis Donahue...'s father, who died long ago.   Secretary, a birdlike cultist who guarded the Waiting Room. Killed by the party. Came back as a ghost, seen fleeing to the third floor.   The Shrike, a large spiked creature in the Waiting Room who would impale victims on its back (and also Eyesore). Killed by the party.

Third Floor

The Head of Heads, a Beholder attached to all the other Heads in the bureaucrazy. The party broke its tethers, freeing it to do whatever it wants.   Margaret "Magpie" Rookfeather-Lammergeyer is here, as a ghost (or similar), seemingly tethered to this place.
