Feráans
The feráans1 are the natives of Feráa in northeastern Gysikan. They are one of the oldest ethnicity in the region, and the only one along with the Þargaleans to have retained their independence throughout millennia.
Society
Most feráans are farmers, shepherds and craftsmen, the latter are renowned for their stone sculptures which dot the capital of Tmyríka. Feráan society is traditionally ruled by senate with members belonging to one of four aristocratic families -the þirsílids, ynúsids, yþírids and meþrids- each tracing its lineage to a son of Förkías (Þirsilúas, Ynús, Yþirús and Meþrúas, respectively), legendary founder of Tmyríka.Culture
Apparel
Traditional feráan clothing shows heavy góalanic influence, with men wearing long-sleeved tunics and -for aristocrats- cloaks, and women wearing long-sleeved dresses. Noblewomen often wear a short, sleeveless tunic made of fine material over the dress to show off their wealth.Language
Feráan tongue is an isolate, and is one of the few in Gysikan whose written language is not derived from faronian script. Instead, the feráans use an alphabet related to an ancient form of old góalanic script.Religion
