Þargaleans

The þargaleans1 are several closely related tribes native to Þargalis, in southeastern Gysikan. They are the only natives along with the Feráans who have retained their independence, though the þargaleans are not averse to adopting foreign customs and deities that appeal to them.

Cuisine

Þargalean cuisine consists mostly of millet- or barley porridge, wheat bread, vegetables, beef, millet beer and wine.

Language

The tribes of Þargalis speak dialects of varying intelligibility, all of which belong to the þargalean language, an isolate.

Religion

Main deities

Evamnía
Goddess of the sea. Her religious center is in the town of Vamlíka, not far from the capital of Mlatikía, where her temple houses sacred fisheries.  
Vás
Creator god and patron deity of Þargalis, associated with the night sky. Many þargaleans have dots tattooed on their arms, representing stars, to ward of evil.
