Void Beast Compendium

This page is the foundation for every kind of Void Beast. Refer to each Beasts' own page for more specific details.   Void Beasts are ethereal creatures created by Krel'Outama to attack Adremesis. They are inorganic, strange monsters that know nothing except malice and ferocity. They are all blindly loyal to Krel and are physically incapable of acting against him. Their names are what the Raxarians referred to them as.   The following is a list of every Void Beast ever created to fight during the War for Adremesis, in roughly chronological order:   Void Minor

Basic Information

Anatomy

Void Beasts do not have a physical body, they are instead made of pure Void energy. This means that conventional weapons would be next to useless against them. Raxarian weapons that are made with raxorium, however, can tear through Void Beasts. Explanation for why is in the raxorium page under "Everyday Use".   Since Void Beasts aren't organic, they lack organs and thus do not eat nor produce waste. They do not naturally heal over time but they can rejuvenate by absorbing souls, whether that be from their fallen kind or from the recent corpses of raxarians.

All Void Beasts are produced by Void Weavers, led by Kour'Igon, the Great Entwiner.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The best way for them to sense where a target is is to track the energy of their soul. They have an innate sense of souls (since that is what they're made of) and can follow them for incredible distances. The stronger the soul, the longer the range of their sense. Void Beasts emerging on the far side of the Oske lia Vøn are able to sense exactly where Infermius is because his soul is so prominent, and the same goes for all Dragon Lords.

Civilization and Culture

History

Void Beasts were the weapon for choice for Krel'Outama's attacks on Adremesis. They were mostly simple to create, followed all orders perfectly, and were effective at cutting down Raxarians. As the War for Adremesis went on, Void Weavers gradually grew more and more accustomed to how the Raxarians functioned. They would create newer, better Void Beasts that exploited Raxarian weaknesses, and this continued for the entirety of the war. Minors when the Void left could be comparable to the Majors from when it started, constantly growing in intelligence and lethality.
Lifespan
While Void Beasts don't age, they do gradually decay while outside of the Void. If they don't rejuvenate, then they'll end up dissipating after around 2 months. In that time, they will gradually become smaller and weaker until they eventually die.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Every Void Beast clearly resembles the Void. Swirling, twisting colours of purples, dark reds, and blacks create their forms. Their outline is difficult to distinguish and, given enough darkness, can blend into the background seamlessly.
