The Aenarri are a gigantic race of fey like humanoids that very closely resemble the elves of old Terran mythology. Towering over all the other species except the Lycans, they are also physically the most powerful behind the Lycans themselves. Renowned for being the oldest and most powerful race in the universe partly due to their extreme psychic potential, the Aenarri lead the alliance alongside the four other races of Saurians, mankind, Lycans and Charybdians.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Aenarri resemble the elves of old Terran myth in quite a number of ways. They have pointed ears, a strong yet slender and tall build and generally have very little body fat owing to their relatively high metabolic rate. One of their most prominent features are their extremely sharp teeth and canine, which they evolved as a natural defense against predators and use as a weapon during war. Their skeletal structure is notably different than mankinds in that all of their bones are extremely thick and interlock with each other to provide more protection. Their muscles are far more powerful and can unleash bursts of strength that make them far more powerful than a human.

Genetics and Reproduction

Aenarri reproduction is surprisingly similar to that of humanity. It is suggested that this is one of the main reasons as to why humans and Aenarri can interbreed successfully with each other.

Growth Rate & Stages

An Aenarri typically grows at the same rate as a human, maturing only slightly later at around the age of 30 despite living far longer than most humans. Unlike old humans, elderly Aenarri do not lose many of their physical capabilities and their mental capabilities are at their peak during this level. Usually, an Aenarri is at their peak physical strength at around 3 to 4 hundred years of age, being akin to a human youth at their peak physical strength . As they grow older, they will still look deceptively young with their fair skin but may develop some fine lines and wrinkles.

Ecology and Habitats

The Aenarri, being adapted to living in cold environments from the very early stages of their life, usually live in these cold areas, but they will not shy away from warm and sunny places. During the winter months, many Aenarri go into hibernation, only waking up to do important tasks such as gathering food, hunting, feeding their young etc.

Social Structure

The Aenarri social structure is usually quite different than that of humans. The society is very egalitarian with equal opportunities for every Aenarri, regardless of their physical features. Usually, families are lead by the oldest member and while they do have most of the power, they are also open to other ideas being presented by the younger generations as well.

Facial characteristics

The Aenarri typically have extremely beautiful and clean faces when seen from a human viewpoint. Their faces are angular and slanted, as if they were sculpted by a master artist. Many of the Aenarri have eyes which glow at night to let them see better in the dark. Perhaps their most prominient facial feature are their extremely canines, which can easily tear apart flesh and bone.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Aenarri are the most widespread race in the entire universe, having conquered untold billions of galaxies all for their own. Most of the Aenarri race however is situated in their home galaxy, being the largest galaxy in the universe and also containing the most number of habitable planets

Average Intelligence

The average Aenarri is far far more intelligent than a normal human. They have a brilliant memory with which they can remember things far more accurately than any other human being. Being bestowed with innate psychic prowess, they can also learn many things that would at best dumbfound humans or at worst, drive them insane.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Mundane powers

The Aenarri as a race, have developed their sensory and perception capabilities far more extensively than many other races. For non psychic powers, the Aenarri can see clearly in the dark and can also sometimes see the heat signatures of other beings as well. Their sight and hearing capabilities are far more stronger than any of the other races, being able to hear even the most silent of sounds and see farther than any human being. This naturally makes the Aenarri great scouts and snipers and that is a role they often excel at.

The Aenarri are known for being amazing psychics. Being a naturally psychich race, any Aenarri can become a powerful psychic in their own right if they train for long enough. The most powerful Aenarri psychics make their human counterparts pale in comparison, being able to destroy even multiple star systems at once. Their power comes at a grim cost however, for it has been known to invite unwanted attention.

Weaknesses

The Aenarri are a race that are one with the void and psychics. Whilst this means far more mastery and powerful control of the void, this also means that without adequate protection, Aenarri are extremely prone to demonic corruption and posession.

Civilization and Culture

History

Birth of a race

The Aenarri emerged as the first documented sentient race as well as the first living organisms. Originally formed by divine, sentient colonial microorganisms banding together to make a fully fledged being, they eventually turned into a race of their own. Their development was stunted however as a savage ice age hit their homeworld, pushing the race to the brink. For thousands of years the Aenarri endured and after the glaciers had finally retreated on their home planet, the Aenarri had begun to achieve extreme technological feats. Mastering their own innate psychic power and conquering the stars, the Aenarri soon established themselves as the second largest supepower in the entire universe, only being eclipsed by the empire of ancient mankind who were uncannily similar to them and had evolved on the same planet.

The Sundering

" The Sundering is the closest we have ever gotten to lose this fight altogether till now. I can still recall the memories of that age in my mind but just don't want to go back to that . Seeing our own race and our brethren annihilated by the corruption of the breaker. I wish those days never come again in our lifetimes and we must do our best to prevent them from happening".

Whilst the twin races of ancient mankind and Aenarri lived in peace, Kerr was always around to spread corruption. Seeing a chance to regain his power, Kerr began corrupting man, Aenarri and the Ancients alike, who were a mysterious and enigmatic race from outside the universe. The resulting war was on a scale that no sentient being in the universe had ever seen before, with virtually every race becoming extinct and entire star systems and regions of space bathed in blood and dead bodies floating everywhere. The breaker himself managed to partially get free and it took the sacrifice of all of the ancients to rebind him to the void, thus abandoning all their research that they had conducted for thousands of millennia to defeat the breaker. In the aftermath, most living beings were either dead or dying and the Aenarri took on the long and hard task to rebuild all of civilisation again.

The departure of mankind

After the war had ended, only two human beings known as Adam and Eve were still alive. Both of them had also been the very first human beings to exist. They had sought salvation from god and got instructions to go to another part of the universe and build up mankind from there. They were given one last power however, the gestalt psychic field that all humans radiate. This would allow humans to do anything if enough people believed in an idea and believed strongly enough. Bidding a tearful farewell to his lifelong friend, Adam and Eve set out to go to the other end of the universe, to a place where the breaker would not suspect them hiding. Idraesil also sent a gigantic contigent of Aenarri alongside them to colonize whatever galaxy they would end up in and keep silent watch on mankind as they evolved anew. They would soon set out, and eventually settle on the world of Terra, a planet that would become the new home of mankind.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Aenarri race has a history of being looking down upon other races which is partly caused by their perfect physical features. However, the war against Kerr has necessitated for them to be more humble and collaborate with other races more and deeply.
