Battle of Maccion

The Battle of Maccion was fought by the a Stratos led army led by Neophytos Demoarchos and a smaller group known as the Pan Flute 5. They faced off of a battalion of Hobgoblin army that originated in the foothills of the Ricmod Mountains.   The assumed cause of the battle was simply aggression on the Red Hat Hobgoblin armies. After the Pan Flute 5 notified the Demoarchos of Maccion, Neophytos, they worked quickly to gather forces and troops to help in the defense of Maccion. The fall of Maccion was not just a loss of a small hamlet in Stratos, but a backdoor into the capital, Ithaca.   The Red Hats split their army in two in the hopes of attacking the main Straten army at the fort, while sweeping through Maccion in a flanking maneuver. However, the scouting group, Pan Flute 5 anticipated this, and mustered defensive earth works, ballistae, and a civilian militia.   During the course of the battle, the Red Hats were repulsed and eventually routed by Neophytos' Calvary charge.
