Neerstra Maeafin

Neerstra Maeafin is a Drow follower of Eilistraee who has been given permission to study magic and music at the Lady's College in Daemarrel. Since the College was founded by one of the Seven Sisters devoted to Mystra, the College is quite friendly in allowing Eilistraeeans to study within their facility -- so long as they obey the rules and don't cause trouble within the town. The settlement of Daemarrel cautiously allows the College to admit Drow on a case-by-case basis, and the applicants must be vetted by the ruling Lord and the Magistrate. This process is done in the presence of Fay Mytersaal, who administers a Zone of Truth during the vetting to ensure nothing sinister is afoot. So far, the College has had no issues in letting Eilistraeeans attend, and Neerstra is a model student.

Neerstra has an intense appetite for learning, and eagerly accepts any and all instruction given to her by the Lady's College Faculty. She enjoys illusory magic, as well as playing the Lute under the tutelage of Laantred Keenmind. She is considered a model student, obeys the rules, and spends most of her free time studying. Socially, however, she is somewhat ostracized by the others, especially those of Elven descent. She is bullied often by the Sun and Wood Elf students, and her fellow Drow even avoid engaging her in conversation or social gatherings & events. The only Elves that have befriended her are Moon Elves, though their number at the College is fairly low. Still, Neerstra enjoys being at the College and tries to maintain a cheery disposition to any that engage her.
