Hag

Nymphs are wilderness Faerie of surpassing beauty. But when a nymph’s joy becomes sorrow and bitterness replaces happiness, hate causes the nymph’s beauty to wither and die. What’s left is a horror called a hag. Greenskinned and warty, it is a monstrous reflection of the nymph’s former self, intent on making everyone else as miserable as itself. Hags live in dark, foreboding forests, wastelands, and other desolate areas. They creep through the night hours, luring children from their beds and stealing them away. Their vile magic withers crops, sickens livestock, spoils milk, and brings bad luck.

Hags are a rare breed of Faerie and fortunately so for wherever one takes up residence the impact is felt for miles around.
