Balgrendian Peninsula

In the heart of a world shaped by shadows and whispers of ancient magic, the people of Balgrendia carve out their existence, a sturdy and stoic folk who bear the weight of centuries-old traditions and dark pacts with the unseen. Balgrendians are divided into two main tribes, the Bhals and the Grenns, each with its distinct culture and history yet united by a common struggle against the harshness of their land and the ever-looming presence of the fae.
The Bhals, once fierce warriors, have sheathed their swords to till the lush river valleys, erecting settlements that honor the earth and ancient deities. Next to them, the Grenns, seafarers by legacy, ply the waterways, their nets brimming with the bounty of the sea, yet they too toil the soil beside the Bhals, each quietly mocking the other's missteps in tasks not their own. Bound by the stark essence of Balgrendia, a realm where the natural and the mystical perilously entwine, shadows may conceal a lurking fae or a slumbering hex.
Whilst the Kingdom of Balgrendia may technically owe allegiance to The Empire, it is a distant relationship and one that is rarely called upon. This suits both the King and Commoner alike very well.   Here, bravery and the bonds of the community fortify Balgrendians, with fidelity to bloodline and clan as steadfast as the enigmatic woods that encase them. In the perpetual shadow of the Unseelie Court's menace and the schemes of eldritch entities, Balgrendians remain unbroken, their existence a celebration of Human tenacity against the specters and enigmas that pervade their world
