Dimensional Collision

A phenomenon where two dimensions collide with each other and in some way overlap. This collision creates a lot of power and can be very distructive. At the same time such an event is extremely rare or maybe even unique as the only known instance is the collision of the Thunderbird Mountain Pocket Dimension with Earth. This collision happens irregularly between a section of the pocket dimension and the sky above the Adirondack Mountains between 2'000 and 8'000 meters above sea level. The collision can happen anywhere in a sphere with the 3'000 meter diameter with its center point above Northeastern Adirondack Mountains.   The worlds firstmost expert on this phenomenon is Mazariin Tuvetovna. She is the first person to have explored the pocket dimension and actually travel through the collision rifts.   The aviation organisations of the region have strict regulations and a lot of monitoring of both technical and magical nature to make sure no plane flies through this zone.   Whenever a collision happens a large thunderstorm engulfs the region, which is often without rain, but with a lot of very powerful lightning. Additionally it can rain stones and debris from the mountain itself, so much of the region is no longer accessible to the public.   The Adirondack Park Alliance has a task force to study this phenomenon and also finances some of Mazariin Tuvetovnas research. This task force ensures that nobody enters the zone during an event and helped relocate some of the supernatural inhabitants of the region. They help the aviation organizations maintain their sensors and collect and monitor this data themselves as well.   The collision happens on no regular interval, sometimes there are many weeks or even months between collisions and sometimes just a few hours. How or why they happen is just pure speculation at this point as there has been not even a theory that could explain what is going on.

Aviation Accidents

There have been very few accidents involving airplanes. The most famous case is the crash of a Cessna 402C that killed all of its inhabitants. In most cases the airplanes are able to navigate out of the way or simply whether the storm.
