Phenadan Houses

Houses refer to the noble families that control province territories in the Phenada Empire. Houses do not have absolute power over these cuts of land, as they are subject to the will of the lower class and must coexist with any influential guilds. However, members of Houses get preferential treatment in various institutions and can more easily sway opinions of the Sovereign House. Noble families in Phenada are primarily Fey Eladrin, Elven, or some combination of both in lineage.

Structure

There are seven total Houses in the Phenada Empire, including the Sovereign House.

House Agat (Ae-gat)

House Agat presides over Uwelensetzt (Ewe-len-set-st), a seaside province the rivals the capitol in commerce and culture. Most ships to Odaesong leave from this portion of the empire.
  • House Agat is the only house to have two royal mages, two of the triplets born to the family. Lindë Agat is the royal mage of abjuration, and Raith Agat is the royal mage of illusion.

House Heren (Her-ren)

House Heren presides over Emneid, (Em-need) the mountainous eastern province.

House Leothan (Le-o-than)

House Leothan presides over Tānt (Taa-nt), the northernmost province of Phenada. This province trains most of the empire's guard.
  • Eathiel Leothan, one of the youngest of the family, is the royal mage of Enchantment.

House Ofine (Oh-fee-n)

House Ofine presides over Maure Etra (Mow-er Et-ra), a province with rich soils and many denizens.

House Brlynn (Ber-lin)

House Brlynn presides over Öchste (Osh-t), another western seaside province with access to the trade route between Amrynn and Odaesong.
  • Orle Brlynn, eldest daughter of the family, is the royal mage of transmutation.
