King is a hereditary title; Crown Prince who reigns from his homeland and whose spouse moved into his castle. He would outrank his spouse, who would in turn be a Queen or Prince Consort

The King is tasked with the management, prosperity, and safety of their entire kingdom and the people and cultures living with in his borders.

A King is expected to wear a crown for any and all public appearances.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
King is lifetime positions, that is held until one's death. While rare, a king may wish to hand responsibility over to their adult children, or a chosen knight and retire. This is usually after he and his spouse are both over 70, and again, is quite rare. A living but retired King would be called a King Emeritus.
