Metatron was crowned King of Gates Kingdom after the Fall of Eden when his own father fell in battle. He was 31 years old. His first wife would reign along side him, but would produce no heirs. In 5955, at the age of 55 he would used his power of Father of Gates Kingdom to have his marriage annulled and stricken from the record. He would then
enter into a union with the East Kingdom, where he married the oldest daughter, Princess Frances - age 20.
Frances' father, King Dormand made a point of their marriage that Metatron could not claim the title of King of East Kingdom for himself. If Dormand passed with no male heirs, his wife was next in succession, then Frances, then Frances' children.
Metatron did have an heir with his new wife, the second child being Crown Prince Sandelphon in 5962 (after a daughter, born in 5959)
Unfortunately, Queen Frances would be killed on the road in 5964; She was 29, and Metatron was 64. He would have other mistresses but would not end up marrying again.
With his daughter Princess Micheal reaching majority (16), he married her to Rivers Kingdom's Prince Gabriel (18) in an effort to expand his realm.
In 5979, at the age of 75, he was still looking to strengthening his growing empire, and married his son (17) to the Princess Uriel(16) of Endless Kingdom - thus declaring it the Great Eastern Gates Empire
In the summer of 5980, conflict on the border between his Empire, and the West Archway Kingdom could no longer be ignored, and a month long Battle of Nations began. The West held him off, and Metatron saw his only son maimed and mutilated - but at least still alive.
He would die later that year from failing health, and would be christened Veil King at the age of 80. He reigned as King for 49 years.

Religious Views
The Gates Kingdom believes their monarchs to be chosen by the God Mother and as such are above reproach. As such, King Metatron is voice of God to the people, and he in turn is the one that prays on behalf of his people.
As his empire grows, he demands the Finder Father's of the other kingdoms to acknowledge him as their betters. East Kingdom's Father dies shortly after refusing to officiate Metatron's marriage to Princess Frances.
Rivers Kingdom's Father steps down at the urging of the Royal family of Rivers to avoid a similar fate.
Metatron passed away before he could take action of Endless Kingdom's Father
