Episode 14: Two-Tick Talks

by Sir Jackyr Abbot

We start in the "hole" with Jackyr still talking with the mean folk. Jackyr asks why he was spared. We talk for a little bit. No real info is given. After a second, he leaves and comes back with Gene.

Outside, Charle begins to look for other entrances to the building. Epiphany paces back and forth. As charle walks around, a legion guard keeps Charle from going on to the road. Charle flashes the pin. Stink is with Charle. The guard says he doesn't care about his nonsense permission. There's a creaking to the left. There is a figure that drops down. The figure is almost featureless. The form is changing into a legion guard. Charle hunter sense for it. The figure is immune from being charmed. Ibruc and Epiphany recognize the guard as kimlan. oiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii9 (As written by Taco)

Ibruc is asking why they can't leave. They say because we are talking to your friend. Charle sees 2 people on one end of the ally. Theres 3 at the other. The buildings are tall and there are multiple windows. Some are open some are closed. But Nothing on the rooftops. There's a lot of points people could be. Ibruc sends a message to kimlan but our kimlan doesn't answer. The real Kimlan does and he's not here. Ibruc looks around and sees a cracked open window. Epiphanies armor is looking around with it's weird spyglass thing. It fines someone hiding up on a third story window. There's a few others over looking this area.

Jackyr could tell that this place looked not very lived in. Like this place was abandoned and possibly for rent.

We talk about getting info for the mines. We decide to go talk to the tattoo shop. Across the tattoo shop (tru colors) there is a new weird stall that selling things that look like appendages. There are teeth here. Large feathers and tusks. Big meat appendages hanging up. A figure is mkoving some things on a table. There' ssomething in a case they are moving. They are also putting out a skull of a tiny dragon almost. it's called munsters. We go inside the tattoo shop. Gru is working on something. We go back outside and check out the flea market.

The man running the shop is a pug canite. He offers us a side quest to get animal bones and trophies. He's got sovereign (aboleth) eyeballs and a subterrainian lizard penis. A monstrous taloned creature that peers out of a bailful eye in subterainian places called nauthics.

The elf getting a tattoo gets the arcane eye. It allows him to see through the veil of spellcraft. He is Ven Shaire. He talks about setting up a job for me in 2 days before sunrise. Jackyr tells him his name is Jack.

We get a rumor from Gru that the mine had some problems and had to shut down. Epiphany Jackyr and Ibruc go to the delve office to see what they can find out. Epiphany tries to sneak off to a fishing shop. The shop is run by a hobgoblin. Epiphany asks for the deadliest catch. Epiphany asks for a good rod and offers 4 platinum. He pulls out a rod with rainbows on it and says this ones not out yet. Ill sell it to you for 4 gold and you let me take you out to dinner. Epiphany agrees. She gets fully set up with this fishing rod. Rainbow trout 5.0 with the spinning reel. It's a shop called reely nice by the way. Gitin is the hobgoblins name. Epiphany goes to try and catch some fish.

We go inside a building in the delve and we go into a building. We find ourselves in a waiting room of sorts. We don't get information. But we leave and someone who over heard us comes and tells us his cousin was on the team that found it. The people that found it were changing in the weeks that they uncovered them. They were acting weird. The cousins name is Zerk hes a halfling. The man doesn't know what company he works for. The sword smelled like it had just been cast.
Virtuitous Oracle is the library. A gnome is the person running the library. Nauthics are creatures that live in the underdark. I learn more about the underdark too. They are very monstrous and have a great eye. They are scary looking but are not innately aggressive or evil. Most are neutral evil. They typically are more prone to doing bad things but not necessarily violence. Wehn it is in violent situation it has a gaze that can rot flesh of the bones of their enemies and intrude into your mind. No shape changing.

On the Delve. Stuff that talks about the start of the dekve. One day there was an event that happened called the ripple that caused the delve to open up. When the ripple happened, all of the buildings and shops that sat on the cliffside near it was lost. In the long period of time alot has changed. I might be able to get a map. A lot of the sources state in fact that the ripple was started by seismic activity. some people say its a burial site for long forgotten giants that collapsed because of all the previous graves here. A bunch of pockets caused it to collapse. There's a lot of speculation and superstition about this. There's another story of pockets like these being opened up all over to help surface creatures get down further. There is no other factual stories of this happening elsewhere.

Ibruc looks for info on the armor and weapon in the kite district. The things are quite old. It was origianlly owned by Paladin Wren, Plumecrest of the open sky. They were a protector of Constance. They protected the city very well for a long time. He is somehow related to some of the original founders of the city. They didn't die that the book speaks about. The armor and the weapon was apparently one of the sets this paladin wore. The book says the protector about a decade ago left to basically go on a quest to a newly discovered island that has apparently been named already by beastial races that inhabbit it. IT's mostly wilderness but has been called severige. It's translation means birthland. Paladin Wren left on a quest to go find an ancient prophecy that spoke of past ages and how at some points other beings ruled the lands and Una Tal gave this lawless land protectors and deities to balance everything in the world. There was a story of old fights to control the lands between the gods and the old beings of the world throughout the ages. Since the gods no longer walk the planes with their creations there has to be a fail safe for if these types of beings ever decide to try and take back their world. Paladin Wren got really obsessed about this idea and would talk about prophecy and dreams from Vessus and would see viosion in dreams that the godmother herself was beckoning for help. Some of these dreams they were surrounded by people pleading for help but was helpless and needed help herself. These prophecies weren't taken seriously so the paladin left on a quest to find more information. Ever since then, Constance hasn't had another protector like Wren. Plumecrest Plaza is named after that bloodline.

Jackyr finds a story about a miner. But it's mostly about a miner that spends alot of time in dank damp shafts. It gets really hot and sweaty. He spends alot of time with other workers. It gets lonely. His name is Bilby Buggins. He has a friend named Willen. Bilby and Wellen spend alot of time in the mine together. They form a strong bond. There's a moment when they take a break and their feet are dangling over a dripping cavern and they share a kiss. Then you find out Wellen is married and was also having an affair with Jared from the lift. Its called Rusting Shafts.

Epiphany catches a small river trout that is 6 pounds.

Jackyr gets ambushed by the guild again.

We all sleep well kind of. Ibruc does not. His sleep is interupted by ibruc waking up. He awakes to the sound of thunder crashing. He is in the room and Jackyr is asleep in their bed. Ibruc hears the heavy fall of rain. There's another crash of thunder in the distance. Ibruc looks out the window. He is looking out his bedroom window at home. From the window he can see a pathway that leads to a large lake that the settlement sits on. When the lightning flashes it highlights a figure standing on the bank of the lake. It's a large figure. Much taller than anyone he's seen. It's sitting on it's but with it's knees up. The figure is an avatar of Stronmus. He looks much more carefree than Anum. The all father. Ibruc goes to sit beside him. When he turns back into the room it's his old room from home. He navigates easily through his home. He goes out to the lake to convene with the avatar. As he gets close, the avatar acknowledges his Ibruc with a smile. Ibruc sits next to Stronmus and revels in the storm with him. Lightning flashes and there is a scene change. There is a large palace rising from a large storm cloud. It's an ancient city called stormhold. It's a place hwere deities used to live when they were on the material plane. Another flash and they are back at the lake. Stronmus's smile turns to a frown and looks at Ibruc sternly. Almost like he's saddened. He points out over the lake. Existing within the storm there's this substorm that's dark. It's not the normal life energy that typically creates storms. Ibruc sees something unnatural in the storm that's another storm. A spiderweb type crack brightens the sky backdropping the formation. It looks like the cloud is toxic. Something flailing is a tentacle like sillouhuette that is reaching out of the clouds. Then darkness. Stronmus is no longer there. Another flash. The weather is clear. There is a knock at the door. "Sirs, you are being summoned by the Chamberlain of the Kite."
