We start at about 9 or 10 outside of the mine near the campsite, deciding on what to do next.
Decided to set up a trap in the tree line using jackyr as bait.
the trap doesn't work and we abandon the idea after about an hour. We pack up and leave around mid day
Encounter: While traveling we come across a skeleton pinned to a tree with a spear. The spear is old and mossy but very well made and silvered. Epiphany attempts to detect magic on the spear. She does not detect magic from the spear itself but detects a strong sense of necromancy from the base of the tree. The skeleton begins to rise. Fight begins. Sorren reacts quickly and kills it. The presence of necromancy disipates. Epiphany and sorren investigates but doesn't find anything but a small silver ring.
It starts to get darker outside. Not dark enough to set up camp, the forest is also too thick to set up where we are.
Jackyr makes it smell like cooked pork around 4pm. Charle is picking up on forest creatures and he picks up on that it's close to hunting time for some animals. Time to set up camp.
Charle finds a small creek with a rocky outcrop with an overhang. It seems like the best potential camp site. Charle sees a quick flash of something large behind Sorren. An enormously large bore charges into Epiphany at full speed.
Encounter with 2 dire bores: Pippy disembowels one before it hits Sorren. But for some reason it is still alive. It gets slain along with the other from Charle's tree arrows. Jackyr heals himself as well as Epiphany.
Sorren make a weapon, Dagger, and 10 arrow heads.
Borris lets me know says that he's keeping an ear out for anyone talking about Gwendolyn Geoffree. He has so far not heard anyone talking about that person.
Epiphany is just getting some clothes from Korra's. Gets them for free.

Watch order after camp is set. Charle, Sorren, Jackyr, Epiphany.
Charle's watch: Nothing outside of the ordinary. Charle gets 9 pounds of meat and the hides. Fog starts to set in. He can dry the hides a little bit.
Sorrens Watch: Mostly uninterupted watch. He pulls out his rune thing and starts working on runes he hasn't perfected yet.
Jackyr: hear intermitten disturances. Can't tell if it's clse or not. Watch unhindered. Read my books. Practice different accents.
Epiphany: Has decent rest but still drowsy. About an hour in, they hear talking and for a second it sounds like Sorren but he's asleep. From the trees above they hear whispers. 10 minutes after the voices stop. Party stirs awake. They tell no one.
Random Encounter: Plan to be at town around mid day. About 2 and a half hours into the travel. The sound of nature has become common ambience at this point to us. We do hear a voice. It sounds kind of like Sorren speaking in the trees above. We all stop. in the moment of quiet we hear Charle say "I'm smart I think" from above. Epiphany knows this as a Silver specked Starling. "would you like to smell me" in Jackyr's voice. It's extremely close. It plays Jackyr's song.
Charle about an hour outside of Wakefiled picks up on some tracks. The tracks are similar to the tracks he found outside of Wakefield during the attack. The tracks are for one creature and estimated to have been in the area in the last 24 hours. Seems to be going in the direction of Wakefield. Charle speculates it might be in Wakefield and would like to track it.
The tracks don't go in a direct path to Wakefied and they are decent sized tracks. They are similar to maybe a bear paw but it has a heel. The steps are lighter and slower. We are able to follow them for a while. We are maybe an hour from Wakefield. They aren't going straight to Wakefiled but around it. The tracks seem disrupted after 30 minutes and we lose the tracks. It looks almost like a scuffle happend. They were very all over the place and erratic. We start to get around more of humanoid foot prints. No blood or anything else is around that we can use to pick back up on the tracks. The prints were definitely bipedal.We speculate that it saw people and didn't have time to change and it hesitated.
Charle thinks the tracks are potentially from a shifter of some sort. Charle tries to pick up on a scent. No scent to be had. Jackyr is not convinced that it was a scuffle. Epiphany uses detect magic. Nothing magic is detected.
Alderich (the counelor) is saying something to Gromar (leader of the hunters) before Gromar walks off. We catch Alderich's attention. He seems happy to see us.
Wren Whiteroot (the treasurer that gave us money Half elf. Short straight blonde hair and circular glasses) walks up.
We found out there was another attack last night. They don't know where they came from. Gromar defended the town. There was a single casualty. There was an Orcish zombie. Whenever we are ready we can meet with the delegates. Jackyr gives the map to Wren Whiteroot.
We see a youngish woman half jogging in our direction. It's Korra. She says she wants to show her appreciation by decorating our weapons. Sorren is cautious about the offer. But she seems sincere and genuine.
Inside the wake hall, Roweyna Conry, Gromar, Wren, Boris, and Alderich. They inquire about who Epiphany is (currently in the form of Penny). Epiphany lies and the people we are talking to goes along with it. They ask about Mateo (guy on the wagon with us). Sorren tells them that he was going to try and get into the order of the Saints. We are informed that he took a horse and left. He was supposed to keep an eye out and he left with one of the horse.
Gromar was able to find a general area of where the source of the attacks could be coming from. The closer they got, the more undead they found. They had to flee when one of them got spotted. There was too many for them to handle. They lost them in the woods before returning to the town. They hand Sorren a piece of paper. The area was very hilly and difficult to navigate. A half mile radius south east of Wakefied by a mountain range is circled. Sorren hands the spear over and says "I expect this back".
Roweyna lets us know that the attacks have become more frequent.
Charle follows Gromar. Charle tries to get him to follow to the tracks. Fails miserably. Follows Gromar to a shop of some sort with meats and tannery. Charle recognized a few people in the shop. Tinsel specifically. The Halfling that carried the bodies out after the fight. Charle describes the tracks that he saw. Gromar follows him out to the tracks. Gromar thinks it's interesting. He appreciates the concern but suggests we pay attention to the ones in our own group (talking about Epiphany).
Epiphany and Jackyr inquire about Mateo, From what people heard he was supposed to help defend the town. One person Ive seen before that has the cat. He claims he was walking his cat in the middle of the night and saw mateo sneeking around and saw mateo quickly get on a horse and got outof town quickly. I believe that he was walking his cat. But I can't help but to feel like maybe he's not 100% confident in his own story. He's vrey short with but oesn'tgive me much to navigate the social situation. He does not give me his name and his clothes fit well (we've been looking).
Alderich and Roweyna don't know much about. Boris explains that the guy isn't local. The guy has been in Wakefield for weeks or possibly months. Has paid Boris ahead of time for staying at the Inn. The attacks started before the man showed up.
Charle spends the rest of his day setting traps and lets Gromar know to look out for his markers
Sorren is able to make silvered weapons and turns Jackyrs dagger into a rabbit ear shape.
the cats man is Caramel. Charle is interrogating the man gently. He's inquiring about the undead. Charle finds out the guy sees alot of "normal stuff" outside. Epiphany casts detect magic. There's a woman at teh bar sipping on an ale and reading a book. There's a man thatwas there the other night roling ice on his table. There's an aura around the dice he's rolling. Cat man has a magical cat (conjuration) and his right eye is magical (Divination). No other magical sources.
Charle gathers that cat man is being hidden with divination magic. Jackyr tries to get his room number but ends up only being able to have Boris send food up anonymously.
Epiphany finds him room and sees a small tiny amount of evocation magic and about waste level a small glinting mass of conjuration. We make a perimeter check. We see a short figure coming from the tree line. We think it's tinsel.
Tinsel is walking into town and disappears. He looks hurried. Sorrento yells out towards him.
After a tough line of questioning Tenzil becomes aggravated. Jackyr turns invisible and goes inside the wood line. Charle follows tinsel with hunters mark. Tinsel turns a corner and goes into a house. It's a single home. Sorren goes to Gromars headquarters. He knocks but no answer. He decides to go to room 6 where the magic user is. Jackyr comes across one of charle's traps and it's been triggered but nothing in it. He decides to hang out patrolling in case something comes up. Epiphany sets an alarm on the east side of town and heads to the Wes side.
She sees a young half orc female with a later on patrol. She blatantly lies. Makes an enemy out of the half orc woman.
Sorren ends up knocking on the cat man's door, makes an enemy of him as well. He tells sorren he's on a mission that's separate and is no one else's business.
JACKYR and charle are about the same size as a child. They survey the woods. They stop at every single one of the traps charle set. Only one is set off. At the bottom of one pit is a basketball sized rock.
Charle is taking first watch. Sorren takes second. Doesn't wake anyone else up for watch.
Epiphany hears cat man snoring.
Charle and jackyr find 1 more trapvtriggered, it has a skunk. Jackyr saves the skunk. But smells like ass.
We meet with Gromar to let him know we are heading out. We let him know cat man isn't who he says he is. Also about tinsel strange behavior.
We travel south east out of the covert. On day 2 of travel, we see remnants of structure of some kind. We can piece together it looks like a well of some sort. It's completely overgrown. There's a 6 inch portion of a Lilly pad and the water is clear. We clear the vines and there's wording inscribed in 5his marbled well. Sorren and Epiphany read the secret of luck you better not tell. A gift of prosperity cast into the wishing well. Sorren and Epiphany make wishes. Secretly. Nothing happens. Charle drinks some. Sorren tries to look into the bottom. It's 6 feet down. There's 7 more gold at the bottom. Sorren dumps all his money in. The sigil start to glow and then fade. You best not tell stays Lita little longer. He feels a sense of confidence wash over him. He feels particularly lucky. Mechanically, for the next 24 hours sorren has the lucky feet.or until he uses it.
Moving on, we make a good distance. Day 3 of travel we are tired as it's a rough travel. We get to an area where we just feel uncomfortable. We know we are within that circle. It's very hilly. Lots of mounds and trees. There are also creeks and rivers. Charle picks up the scent of decay. We follow the scent and we encounter 15 undead creatures shambling westward towards Wakefield. We let them pass
IT BEGINS TO RAIN. at the top of a mound we come to. There's a tree brunch dug into the ground with skulls hanging on it. There's a creek on the other side. The water that stretches out has wet grassy terrain with a 10 foot overhang. A large tree is felled and dipped into the water. Above it is a portion of the mountain with a cave opening. On Either side there are sticks 2ith skulls on it. Smell of decay is everywhere. It sounds ds like there is a desperate moaning in the Wind. The water is a dark blue. There is a skeleton on the bank that looks like it was trying to get out of the water. At the cave opening is a large zombified ogre. It's holding a leash with a decaying exaggerated gorilla. It's got 4 arms and is moving with the ogre. The ogre falls into the water and starts pulling itself towards sorren. The gorilla lets out a moan. The ogre falls short as the gorilla moves in an unnatural way. The assistance of the 4 arms helps it leap forward in front of Sorren.
Fight: we win
We go into the cave. There's an inverted star carved into the floor. Goat head in the center. There is a small rock slab to the right with a bunch of candles around it. In the middle of the slab is a gray figurine. It looks like it's carved from flesh. None of us recognize the depiction. It looks like a bloated figure with a goat head with large curved horns with a wand and 3 severed heads. It's oddly detailed. In the left corner towards the back there's a half mummified half skeletal corpse with a satchel. Sorren stabs the corpse. There is a small palm pistol and a small sack. The sack falls apart. There's a small journal that falls out. Jackyr grabs the book. Epiphany detects necromancy from the circle. There's There's necromancy source from the figure. The satchel grabbed by sorren has small gleams of silvered bullets. The journal gives jackyr a massive sense of dread. The book is falling apart. The pages are almost like paper machet.
Tries to strike the figure but fails to hurt it. The journal I can tell there's writings of accounts in here. It's written in common. It details accounts of a person(maybemummy dude) it details travel to Wakefield from (?) And a stop in constance. Dated about 8 months ago. Additional entries describe camping y Wakefield being cautious of beast attacks. This person was traveling for a reason and hunting something and with another person, "I'm mortally wounded.i found a cave. Garrett and I were in over our heads. There were more than. We thought there were be." "I don't know if I'm going mad but the statues talking to me. On the bright side NY would d is healing, tennaebrous assured me I would be OK, we can take revenge for what Wakefield did to my brother. Statue is silent and I am dying." Under the dust the shadow that was... repeated"
I hear a whisper the shadow that was... it's coming from the statue.
