Lure and Leader

So there was another door. Of course there was a door we weren't supposed to go through. But george says he heard someone ask for help behind it and I'm not gonna just let someone die if they ask me to help them. So everyone but george goes in to this room, where the voice came from. I feel like George needs to get into the spirit of being a team, even if we disagree we don't leave each other behind. Hence why I ended up helping save this goddamn city, alone is not the way.
There was an old man in that room. Well, not really, it turns out it was just some puppet for this huge slimy mass that seemed able to dip into our minds, twisting with our thoughts. It hit Kauri hard and she lost her memories for a bit, but we defeated it together. Frald seems to be taking a more active role as leader of our tribe, he speaks commands as we fight like a warlord would. I am glad for this but it does mean I feel less and less useful as I am never very good at melee combat. Still, I would never leave them to face something alone.
We left the city, in the end. After saving it with a magic orb. I'm glad I don't have to go back, and I'm glad for the reward, but I feel like maybe I need some time to myself again. To decide if the violence that Yitril has so carefully cultivated is obscuring the view of my path or sharpening it.
