So, the lady we saved from the jackalopes was called frey. She took us back to her eladrin village, through this strange place that both is and isn't like the forest we'd come from. There, we discovered tell of a weapon that can apparently be used to fight our werewolf, and this seemed like a fairly simple task. It turns out going where the wind blows can have some unexpected rewards.
The temple housing this weapon was strange, in the same slightly haunting way that all temples are. I saw the dagger, glowing with a bright light, and came so close to touching it. But Frald stood on a pressure plate, like the clumsy dwarf he is, and suddenly my way was blocked. I hate these caves, they're so far away from the sky.
We meandered down the path, unbearably slowly, until by some twisted game we were seperated from each other, and I found myself in a courtroom. This time, as the judge. I looked before me and saw a hunched figure, convicted for exactly that crime that I had been so long ago, before I learnt all the petty rules that run this land. Of course, I could not bring down a judgement of death upon an innocent person, so told them all so, and immediately the room dissapeared. I must have been hallucinating. It troubles me to think how close I came to death, perhaps this is a warning.
Next we found a button, and a tree. Every time I pressed the button, lights on the wall would count down, but nothing would happen. I'm starting to think maybe Kauri lied about the numbers, she's so muddle-headed when trees are involved. The tree in question was strange and magical, and blessed my staff with it's green magic. I also have some leaves, which Frald says are magical, so we should be able to line our pockets and stay alive easily for a while. Only a few leaves, sadly, as Kauri and a collapsing floor ensured I couldn't get many. Perhaps I shouldn't be so critical of her, I remember Balthzar saying everyone feels the everstorm in different ways, perhaps this is hers.
Stumbling onwards through more treacherous rooms, we find a glen underground with a strange man that Kauri and George seem to know about asking for his release. It's much more complicated politics that I can deal with, so I'll leave them to it and try not to let Frald drown me in the stream.
