Usually his experiments going wrong is what he is most embarrassed of.
But one failure turned into a blessing in disguise when he got his half cat half bat hybrid familiar who Eryn named Mordenkainen after the great wizard of the same name.

He fears failure he cannot tolerate it at times and acts as if its the end of the world if he fails just one time.
He fears people at times he will usually shy away to the back of the group when conversations start, but if he see's a fellow arcanist or something that interests his nerdy side he will approach with great confidence..

As long as magic is being treated right and with respect you are okay in his books if you are a spellcaster.
However if someone were to misuse magic and disrupt the balance of it he will not stand by.
Usually it is followed by a deep lecture from him and if that is not good enough he is willing to use the authorities to his advantage.

Eryn never really wanted to flaunt any riches everywhere he went not only would it cause trouble, His attire does not match that of the poor nor does it match those of the rich even though most of his clothes were hand me downs.
No one would spare him a second glance if they thought he had money or not because he tries not to spend too much unless there is a situation that calls for it.
