New world Chapter 3: Road to Drellins Ferry

This might be a quick entry because Morvious drank some dwavern fire syrup or something and I am trying to stop him from doing stupid things.
 
The day started off promising and after a few day travel we encountered a Half orc Cleric by the name of Xuni, He was really scary in fact I swear he was giving eyes at Mordy planning to eat him he has not made his move yet but I am keeping Mordy close.
 
We continued to head west of Vraath keep to get to our destination Drelins Ferry to deliver the letter we had received too the guard captain there.
 
However our trip was interrupted by some very rude hobgoblins blocking our path and when Reeze was about to pay them they went to stab her, this was a big mistake on there part because before he could land a hit he had an arrow thorough his eye.
 
I looked around to see a majestic Elk and riding it was a what I believed to be a new sub race of elf I have never seen one of them before in person, I must admit she was stunning I would have to ask her some questions about her race and her Elk friend later.
 
After a battle with several hobgoblins and hellhounds we were victorious and The mysterious introduced herself as Maple and her Elk as Syrup... A very interesting choice for a name I thought.
 
Our new Cleric friend however was searching the bodies and found a symbol of Tiamat on one of the hobgoblins which was strange usually Goblins only worshipped their gods and going as far too worship a goddess of dragons it is unheard of.
 
It was decided that Maple and Syrup were also coming along because she was heading our way anyway so we all went together and I could not be happier because I got to learn more about Syrup.
 
When we got to Drellins Ferry we were told to me the captain of the guard at the old bridge tavern, It was when we were walking there that Morvius found a statue of his oldest brother whom had unfortunately passed away however Morvious still had family in the form of his nephew who was in another town.
 
I was happy for Morvious that he would have family after we have done what we need to do he can return to a home, ...I am happy but at the same time I want Morvius to stay with us but I think I am just being selfish.
 
While I was pondering about this Reeze had bought Herself, Maple and I milkshakes that I greatly appreciated as did Mordy but I shoo'd him away, he instead went to drink out of Xuni's mug of Ale.
 
I took this opportunity to ask Reeze to help me practice my ways of the sword, I figured that it would be a good idea because if my magic ever fails me I can rely on my own personal strength... which still is not all that great.
 
I will say though Reeze's training methods were a tad bit strange when Movious cast a slow spell on us I think this was supposed to be part of the training, I mean I have had stranger things asked of me during my training with My father Cyrus.
 
For example wanting me to paint the fence, waxing his figurines of long since past monsters and mopping the floor... in fact now that I'm writing this down it just sounded like he was giving me the jobs he didn't want to do I knew I should have been suspicious when he was out of the library at the local pub most likely looking for Hilda his (Lady friend) he was a strange old man.
 
I do hope this sword training will pay off though.
 
Long story short we got the letter too the guard captain and were asked to investigate the many goblin sightings recently at a place called Skull Gorge.
 
I was Immediately hesitant on going because...well why else Skull gorge it does not exactly scream bring the whole family and get cake.
 
We all decided to scope out the sitiuation though and I was struck with fear when we did not just see hobgoblins but a green dragon the size of several chariots. Judging from the size I will have too say it is a young adolescent dragon or it had just recently hit Adolescence.
 
Movius wanted to go in there and take out as many Hobgoblins as he could but we managed to talk him down I do not think we are ready to take down a dragon... I don't think I would be able too anyway... I would probably just run away.
 
So instead we decided to head back to town but not before stopping by Vraath's Keep because the treasure map was pointing us in this direction.
 
Maybe we will find something useful here to either take down a dragon or maybe just help us cope in this world.
