In the small town of Bluefield it was rare for strange things to happen in such a small town.
However one day The Half elven Wizard Cyrus guardian of the library of Bluefield witnessed a blinding light coming from one of the sections of the vast shelves of knowledge.
As Cyrus investigated this phenomenon believing it to be a teleportation spell he found a small basket with a blanket covering it however it was rising and falling as if something was breathing underneath it.
As he pulled back the blanket he found an elven baby resting peacefully, judging from its ears length he believed it to be of the higher elves class.
Next to the child was a note written in old elvish, due to his vast knowledge of languages Cyrus was able to decipher the note saying "Please protect and guard my child, He is no longer safe in my care due to his heritage he has become a target, please love and care for him as if he were your own"
Cyrus reluctantly took the child in knowing there was nowhere nearby he could turn the baby in seeing as Bluefield was quite a ways away from civilization.
Over the years however he came to care for the child who he had named Eryn and raised him like a son.
Pretty much growing up in the library Eryn loved reading the books in the library not getting out much and only really communicating with Cyrus and occasionally the merchants in town.
The day came however when Eryn read one of Cyrus's many books of spells and began to unlock his magical potential as a wizard almost burning an entire section of the library down with his first cantrip, but Cyrus managed to put that out.
After that day Cyrus became Eryns mentor and taught him disciplin and the importance of using magic responsibly.
After a few years of training Eryn was now an Apprentice wizard, it was also around this time that Cyrus became sick from a mysterious illness and could not keep up with his duties in the library.
Eryn taking responsibility as the librarian and caring for Cyrus, however he was not getting any better the herbs and spells he was using were sustaining him but if this keeps up he will be dead in a year, Two if he's lucky.
Eryn not willing to let the man that raised him die asked the villager in Bluefield to take care of Cyrus as he would set out to find a cure for this illness.
Eryn left the village and began his journey.
Extra: In his days at the library Cyrus thought it would be a good idea forEryn to have a familiar to help him around the library.
Unfortunately Eryn messed up the spell by thinking of both a cat and a bat at the same time clouding his mind at what he wanted for a familiar.
The spell ended with a black cat with bat wings appearing in the summoning circle.
Eryn Proceeded to give him he name Mordenkainen after the great wizad of the same name however Eryn calls him Mordy for short.
Easily being the most active member of the group Mordy spends most of his time Eating, scratching, sleeping and licking himself in places Eryn would prefer not too mention.
After the Phandalin expedition and recovering a cure for his father Eryn traveled to Waterdeep. Along with Artie Bliss Reeze and Blaze he attempted to keep order in the city. Despite the best efforts of the party the cataclysm happened and he was forced to flee to Ithica

But one failure turned into a blessing in disguise when he got his half cat half bat hybrid familiar who Eryn named Mordenkainen after the great wizard of the same name.

However if someone were to misuse magic and disrupt the balance of it he will not stand by.
Usually it is followed by a deep lecture from him and if that is not good enough he is willing to use the authorities to his advantage.

New world Chapter 9: Maple and Zuni
Forgive the shortness of this entry I cannot think straight right now.
I realise now how wrong I was when I wanted to implore the Lich for help... I made a mistake and that's what got them killed.
Seeing Maple like that I.... I could not even move I was afraid I was so scared that I couldn't even go save my friends.
I tried to call Zuni back, but she was in a rage and wanted blood.
I lost track of what was happening Reeze had to pick me up and carry me away. I let her I was paralysed with fear and could not walk on my own.
Everyone was quiet when we got home to Brindle... we brought Syrup back with us, I will find a way to get her back to the Fey wilds when I can, But today I think I will just... I don't know I am just sitting in a corner in the library.
Maple and Zuni they were our allies I thought they would be with us forever I wanted to see the golden city with Maple but now they are gone they are both gone.
I can't spend my time grieving right now I need to put everything I have into what I can do for the army approaching us right now.
All this would not have happened if it weren't for the red hand and they have hurt too many people that I like now that does not put them in a good position right now.
New world Chapter 8: Death of the black dragon
The battle all happened so fast one minute I was fleeing for cover from the trolls attacking me and then Maple and Syrup were fending off a dragon together.
Miya however was nowhere to be seen as was Morvious who I later learned turned himself into a giant crocodile and fought one of those dragon/hobgoblin abominations.
As the battle raged on a troll went toward me however my shield spell proved more than enough to defend myself when who should appear in front of me but Reeze I tell you my heart leapt from seeing her safe and sound and she fought the troll with me however the black dragon finished it off and got us with it's acid breath.
We stood our ground though as Zuni who I learned had seen Miya turn into a giant spider brought down some of the ceiling on top of us I managed to dodge out of the way but Reeze was already fighting the goblin that was commanding the lizardfolk and the dragon.
She dispatched of him quickly as I launched a lightning bolt at the black dragon sending it into the lake from whence it came Zuni quickly gave me some healing and continued on too help Reeze but then the Dragon came up from the depths of the lake and charged at me spewing its acidic breath.
I however had an idea and took out my scroll of protection from dragons and activated it however the dragon did see through it and broke the spell but I had enough time to prepare what I wanted to do.
Morvius, Maple, Syrup and Reeze had gotten back at this time and we were all teaming up on the dragon and as soon as I had the chance I cast the spell Polymorph on myself and turned into a giant ape to be a size match for the dragon.
And I must have gotten in a good punch because before I knew it I had given into the ape primal instincts and was tearing off it's jaw and smashing it's skull into the ground then threw it back into the lake.
We regrouped and found what appeared to be dark magic item it was a Phalatracy typically for Liche's but then we heard Knee knocker talk about the Druidic Lich who could create ghost like lions to fight for him.
I had to admit I wanted to destroy that thing the very second I laid eyes on it.
However Brindle was not in the best shape for defense and this Lich would not want to bend a knee to dragons hobgoblins or anything of the sort so it could not hurt to ask him for Aid.
Before we left for the lich's Lair we destroyed what remained of the abominations eggs we could not let these things to join up with red hand.
New world chapter 7: Black Dragon
I...We may have lost Reeze.
I tried I was blasting firebolts at that frozen lake like crazy, But it appears the lake was completely frozen from top to bottom I was going to bust out the bigger spells however Morvius pulled me back telling me there was nothing we could do for now.
I lost track of what happened mostly overcome with sadness towards the disappearance of Reeze and anger towards these lizard men who were clearly to blame for what happened.
We ran towards another building across the frozen lake doing what we could to keep the lizard people off of us I'm not sure what happened to her but we also lost Zuni in the heat of the moment.
We fought some ogres and I could sense a few eyes on me when it appeared I was not showing any form of mercy for these things attacking us... I could even feel the spells words tasting like poison as they came out of my mouth.
They deserve it... They killed my friend...
Morvius Maple and I were the only ones to make it out of there that I know of and retreated to a great oak tree.
I tried to search through any books I had on me that could even begin to tell me what might have happened to Reeze But was interrupted by a black dragon flying by us.
I knew it would be a bad idea but Morvius and Maple decided to fire upon the dragon anyway I decided to help as I used countless spells in my arsenal and we all began chasing it down Maple and Syrup ahead of us.
This turned out to be a trap and Maple was bombarded with enemies and almost taken out along with Syrup.
Morvius and I arrived and quickly dispatched the lizardfolk, but the dragon managed to slink away like a coward.
It was that point we saw 4 griffins with riders on their backs as they landed next to us they were all elves so I could only assume these were the elves of the woods we have heard rumours about.
They seemed to like Maple just fine, but they took one look at me when I was talking and called me a race traitor.
I did not know how I have betrayed my kind, but they told me that because I did not grow to understand the teachings of the fey wilds and their culture I was a traitor to all of elven kind.
If they are as snobby as they are I would prefer to be where I am it's not like I had a choice where I was born... or brought too. The only place I've really ever fully known is Bluefield and the Library.
They send two of their griffin riders to investigate where the black dragon was headed, but after they hadn't returned we went after them and found them viciously mauled by a Dragon/Hobgoblin abomination we had seen before.
We dispatched of it and later noticed a body floating in the lake that used to be frozen my hopes rose as I thought that maybe it was Reeze however when we got the body to shore it was I would like to say a half elf however I am not good at telling the difference between certain kinds of elves.
Her arm was badly broken so I immediately cast prestidigitation on it to clean the wound and stop any infections from spreading, Then after relocating the arm I splinted and bandaged it up just how Cyrus taught me when he got into well a bit of a vicious bar brawl and I had to fix him up.
The elves told us they will take us to their village and as I fly on one of the Griffins I am writing this... I really didn't want to while Reeze was gone but I need to write everything down because we will need to look back on this situation one day and make sense of it.
Just please I don't care who it is just make sure Reeze is safe we already lost Artie we can't lose her too.
New world chapter 6: The Ruins of Rhest
Upon investigating the Nissos It may have been here for a good 5 to 10 years the land around it had already began to claim it plant's and vegetation already growing all over it.
The others were studying the area around the ship, but Reeze was acting like her usual self by swinging on a vine and onto the ship it was nice for Reeze to be happy after what she told me last night about her nightmare.
I got her a little something to try and cheer her up, It was a dictionary I noticed her spelling was a little off... well actually quite a bit off but this should help her.
I suddenly heard a crashing sound above the airship, Reeze had fallen through the deck of the ship and was inside it I immediately halted my investigation looking for another way into the ship that's when Reeze ran out of one of the door being followed by a strange dragon abomination.
It pretty much cut into Reeze almost tearing her to ribbons but we managed to get it off of her with a quick Slow spell from Morvius and some trampling from Syrup.
It was then something else jumped down on top of the Strange dragon abomination it was a goblin carrying a meat cleaver, I of course having some bad experiences with goblins panicked and hit it over the head with my staff and I managed to knock it out.
It was then that Morvius decided to take charge for some reason and told me to investigate the airship and everyone else to take five I felt a little annoyed at that.
Oh I hope Movius does not read this I don't want him to know I found him annoying at that time he is nice enough it's just his constant tali slaps get on my nerves a bit.
We learnt that this goblin was called Knee knocker and he was actually with the hobgoblins at one point but he said seeing as the hobgoblins all decided to turn to the god Tiamat trying to bring her here and they even have powerful dragons working with them.
How did it get to this? I was once just a librarian and now I am tackling something that is far out of my league this Tiamat is also known as The undying Queen, The bane of Bahamut how can we even fight something like this?
We did not have much time to lose so after questioning Knee knocker he told us that they were doing something to dragons eggs to make them abominations like what we just fought.
This was all going down at the The ruins of Rhest, but we would have to get through the blockade first so that's where we went.
When we got there I sent Mordy to scout ahead and found several hobgoblins and even two ogres in there but the blockade was made of wood big mistake.
The plan for bringing this blockade down was for Morvius and Knee knocker to disguise themselves as hobgoblins and get the front entrance open and then bring this place down with as much fire as we can muster, while Maple and Syrup use my invisibility spell to go around back and make sure they don't escape.
The plan went off without many complications, but on the journey Knee knocker decided to touch the spell book that Cyrus had helped me build since I started my life as a wizard and that just pushed one of my buttons and I almost lost it.
I managed to get my book back but I swear if that thing touches my spell book again I will turn him into a toad.
When we arrived at The Ruins of Rhest I sent Mordy to scope the area however after a few minute a hawk began attacking him and seeing this through his eyes was plain terrifying I told him to dive down toward the water and pull up fast, but the hawk caught him first and he was dismissed.
Bells began to ring and we all decided it was now or never so we headed straight into combat going for the bell tower first to stop the alarms where there were what we thought were 5 hobgoblins.
We had to cross the river on Maple handy boat and with a few gust of winds from Zuni we arrived there rather quickly not too many arrow hitting us.
Reeze and Zuni went straight into the tower however Morvius and I saw a sixth hobgoblin drink something and start to fly away from the tower so Morvius tried to bring it down.
I could tell this was like the time with the bug bear so I cast dispel magic on it and it fell into the water below and started swimming towards it's destination.
It was around this time I saw Reeze fall from the tower I had no time to cast feather fall as she fell into the 20 foot deep water.
I was relieved to see her come back up a smile on my face this was just like Reeze and that why we loved her.
It was also that point when she tried to swim back that the same thing that she told us about from her dream came up from the water and grabbed her from behind and dragged her down.
I was absolutely terrified but I knew I had to help Reeze so I was about to run for the water even though I was scared I knew she need my help but as I was about to reach the water a giant whoosh of wind came and the whole lake was frozen over.
I clutched my staff tightly I will not accept another loss I am going to blast through that ice myself!
New world chapter 5: Chimeras and Dragons
Well I was not wrong about the drums I believe they were about to set out too march so we had to act fast.
Morvius wanted to leave and return to Drellins Ferry to warn them even though Mordy was going there but I think he was just concerned for his nephew so we let him go we could do this.
We formed a quick plan where Zuni would be equipped with a fly and Invisibility spell and go under the bridge away from enemy sight and try to chip away at the bridge with the clockwork gauntlet and his spells.
In the meantime Reeze, Maple, Syrup and I would cause a distraction on the bridge and draw the dragons attention.
I was quite nervous when we go closer and closer I was so afraid of the dragon right now that I was tempted to just run and take my horse back to Drellins Ferry.
However this needed to be done, the fighting started we quickly dispatched of two hell hounds and Maple cast a spell on the far end of the bridge the enemy were coming from it was a clever idea the enemies could not pass through without getting hurt.
The fight continued and it eventually left Maple and I in front of the green dragon that breathed is poisonous breath on us I managed to withstand it as did Maple but she used a spell to get to the Hobgoblin Reeze was in combat with leaving me to stand to the dragon alone.
I could not express the fear I felt then on that guard tower my next actions even showed that fear as I used Cyrus's staff to shoot thunder and lightning at the dragon.
To my surprise it appeared to be momentarily stunned by my attack and it fell into the chasm below the bridge severly injuring it.
I took this moment to run back down the tower as I saw the bridge collapse Zuni had accomplished her job, seeing this moment and the dragon quickly getting away underwater I cast a lightning bolt at the water in hopes of finishing it off otherwise it would only be back.
However there was no reaction in the water so at that point I had to run away I did not want to be there anymore in case that dragon showed up again.
We returned to Drellins Ferry and informed them of the situation and warned them the the army was coming this way asking them to evacuate the city, and as if to demonstrate our point a chimera came in through the roof of the bar Reeze quickly dispatching it.
I acquired one of it's teeth however before we left for some materials or research purposes.
At that point Drellins Ferry was evacuated and sent too Brindol.
Before we left though we caught a glimpse of the fate of Drellins Ferry it was torn apart by not only Hobgoblins but chimeras, wyverns and even Giants, but worst of all a giant red dragon leading the charge.
It's like we leave one world just to find the same hell going on in another.
We headed for Brindol after the chaos and met with the lord there who gave us a manor for our services, but we were asked to investigate two barricades blocking the towns in the north we decided to head out in the next morning.
It was that night however where I found Reeze throwing bottles of wine at a wall I immediately tried to calm her, Mordy seems to be like a therapy pet for her.
She told me that she had a nightmare about an old man turning into the strange monster she saw in a previous dream she told us about the monster with the praying mantis arms.
However what really surprised and terrified me was that one of her rapiers was broken and the blade was missing this actually synched with her dream where the monster broke the blade.
I investigated the blade more and not even Reeze could have broken that blade.
Seeing that drams were apparently affecting reality now I left Reeze to herself and went straight to the Manor library to investigate what this could be I could not get anymore rest that night so all I did was research.
Unfortunately the research turned up nothing and that morning we headed out too where we were told the Barricade could be, but as we travelled we found something quite strange.
The Nissos the same airship from the final last ditch battle back in waterdeep was right here in front of us torn in two.
New world chapter 4: Is this war?
Just the other day I was but a simple Librarian and now all this is happening so fast... I better explain.
When we arrived at the keep where I sent to do some reconnaissance and I saw through his eyes the skeletal bodies of what appeared to be giants scattered around the ruined keep.
Through Mordy's eyes I saw something in one of the remaining towers waving and when he went to investigate it was a contraption built to make it look like a man waving through the window... to attract people? maybe.
As I relayed the information to my party still seeing through Mordy's eyes I caught Maple and Syrup running into the keep.
I quickly stopped what I was doing and tried to make my way to follow her as did Zuni but Reeze stopped me telling me not to risk my life for her incompetence.
I had to tell her my personal feelings though and I said "I can't let anyone else die when I could have done something to help" It was at that point she let me go.
I do not know why I said that maybe it was through guilt of surviving what happened in Waterdeep and now I feel obligated too help people survive.
I did inform her that I would need her help and I cast haste on her and we both headed in together when we were both set on by hobgoblins riding wargs.
They fired at us but with a quick shield spell and some acrobatics by Reeze they missed us and well let's just say Reeze was Reeze and took them both out my spell did not really do much damage anyway.
It was at that moment Morvius joined us and the roof of one of the towers was thrown away from it and I could not believe what I was seeing.
It was a real live Manticore I have to admit though it seem's angry we are trespassing it is amazing the tail, it's wings it is truly amazing to see something like this can fly.
Unfortunately we had to take it out.
It was at this point when Reeze said to me "Stick close to me Eryn I need you".
I have to admit that was the happiest I have felt in months it actually made me think I was needed by someone.
I never got a chance to think about what I wanted to do after I make sure Reeze and Movius were safe.
I don't even know what I want I only wanted to stay in my library and read my books but the party seem to think I can do more than that...

Great well hopefully no one reads this and sees all the mistakes in my writings.
When the manticore was down we soon found out that a flying bugbear was heading for us.
As soon as I saw it I knew that this was not natural due to most bugbears lacking the intelligence to cast magic so I decided to cast a dispel magic spell negating the fly spell he had most likely ingested.
Though due to Reeze grappling him in the air she fell with him but I cast feather fall on her to be safe, but that was the time the bugbear decided to use fireball and take himself out and almost took out Reeze Zuni and Morvius.
It was at that point we found a map in the bag that Reeze managed to snatch off the bugbear and we found the plans for the hobgoblin army at Skull Gorge.
They were a few days away from starting their march too Drellins Ferry, I immediately wrote a message and made a copy of the map and sent Mordy to Drellins Ferry's guard captain after giving Mordy some motivation.
We spent the rest of the day searching for the treasure and found some very useful magic items that will assist us.
However I was not prepared mentally for the plan that was about to go ahead, we were going to destroy the bridge that the dragon was at.
Now I admire dragons they have a ferocity that deserves a lot of respect but being asked to destroy a dragons bridge and possibly fight the dragon I can't do this.
Cyrus could have done it he was a better Wizard than me if only he were here right now he would be a better asset to the party rather than a amateur wizard like me.
But Reeze says she needs my help I can't let her down, But can I even help this is a dragon we are talking about it's huge I don't think any of my spells could even work against a dragon other than to annoy it.
We are heading towards Skull gorge right now and I am getting incredibly nervous.
I hope I will be able to write in this journal again.

New world Chapter 3: Road to Drellins Ferry
This might be a quick entry because Morvious drank some dwavern fire syrup or something and I am trying to stop him from doing stupid things.
The day started off promising and after a few day travel we encountered a Half orc Cleric by the name of Xuni, He was really scary in fact I swear he was giving eyes at Mordy planning to eat him he has not made his move yet but I am keeping Mordy close.
We continued to head west of Vraath keep to get to our destination Drelins Ferry to deliver the letter we had received too the guard captain there.
However our trip was interrupted by some very rude hobgoblins blocking our path and when Reeze was about to pay them they went to stab her, this was a big mistake on there part because before he could land a hit he had an arrow thorough his eye.
I looked around to see a majestic Elk and riding it was a what I believed to be a new sub race of elf I have never seen one of them before in person, I must admit she was stunning I would have to ask her some questions about her race and her Elk friend later.
After a battle with several hobgoblins and hellhounds we were victorious and The mysterious introduced herself as Maple and her Elk as Syrup... A very interesting choice for a name I thought.
Our new Cleric friend however was searching the bodies and found a symbol of Tiamat on one of the hobgoblins which was strange usually Goblins only worshipped their gods and going as far too worship a goddess of dragons it is unheard of.
It was decided that Maple and Syrup were also coming along because she was heading our way anyway so we all went together and I could not be happier because I got to learn more about Syrup.
When we got to Drellins Ferry we were told to me the captain of the guard at the old bridge tavern, It was when we were walking there that Morvius found a statue of his oldest brother whom had unfortunately passed away however Morvious still had family in the form of his nephew who was in another town.
I was happy for Morvious that he would have family after we have done what we need to do he can return to a home, ...I am happy but at the same time I want Morvius to stay with us but I think I am just being selfish.
While I was pondering about this Reeze had bought Herself, Maple and I milkshakes that I greatly appreciated as did Mordy but I shoo'd him away, he instead went to drink out of Xuni's mug of Ale.
I took this opportunity to ask Reeze to help me practice my ways of the sword, I figured that it would be a good idea because if my magic ever fails me I can rely on my own personal strength... which still is not all that great.
I will say though Reeze's training methods were a tad bit strange when Movious cast a slow spell on us I think this was supposed to be part of the training, I mean I have had stranger things asked of me during my training with My father Cyrus.
For example wanting me to paint the fence, waxing his figurines of long since past monsters and mopping the floor... in fact now that I'm writing this down it just sounded like he was giving me the jobs he didn't want to do I knew I should have been suspicious when he was out of the library at the local pub most likely looking for Hilda his (Lady friend) he was a strange old man.
I do hope this sword training will pay off though.
Long story short we got the letter too the guard captain and were asked to investigate the many goblin sightings recently at a place called Skull Gorge.
I was Immediately hesitant on going because...well why else Skull gorge it does not exactly scream bring the whole family and get cake.
We all decided to scope out the sitiuation though and I was struck with fear when we did not just see hobgoblins but a green dragon the size of several chariots. Judging from the size I will have too say it is a young adolescent dragon or it had just recently hit Adolescence.
Movius wanted to go in there and take out as many Hobgoblins as he could but we managed to talk him down I do not think we are ready to take down a dragon... I don't think I would be able too anyway... I would probably just run away.
So instead we decided to head back to town but not before stopping by Vraath's Keep because the treasure map was pointing us in this direction.
Maybe we will find something useful here to either take down a dragon or maybe just help us cope in this world.
I will update as soon as I can.
New world chapter 1
As I felt the spell wash over me I found myself on the floor of a tavern for an odd reason, Seeing a member of the bar staff in front of me offering me a strange food I have never seen before.
I did not want to be rude so I accepted and held back the awful taste it gave out.
The staff member then told me that "My tower is waiting for me"
I had no idea what she meant by that and asked her what she meant.
Her words were "All you need to do is WAKE UP!!!"
I opened my eyes to see Reeze, Morvius and I falling onto a small ship fortunately Reeze and I managed to land without incident Morvius however not as graceful.
We were then approached by an elderly couple who were delivering pottery to the town of Brindle.
They informed us that it has been 500 years since the last people came from our world.
I can't believe it this must mean Black Staff is long gone by now, Well my plans are to get my friends somewhere safe So that means finding the people in power.
It was around this time I noticed Artie was not there on the boat and Reeze was holding his things and lottery ticket, I did not know what I could say to her I consider her a friend from the time we spent at Bluefield when her and Artie were hiding out, But I did not know what to say.
It was around that time we were set on by strange beings I have not seen before they were Lizard people who tried to destroy our ship, We dealt with them accordingly however the boat sustained a bit of damage and had to pull into the town of Squill.
The old couple were kind enough to pay for the damages the lizard people and to a lesser extent us caused, we did offer but we learned that our money is no longer valid in this new world adding being poor too our list of problems.
The ship wold take a few days to be repaired so we decided to stay in Squill for now, But soon after we arrived we heard yells and shouts calling out for a witch.
Like My mentor Cyrus taught me I must seek out those who would abuse magic and try to convince them that what they are doing is wrong and get them too stop immediately.
I saw a large crowd in front of the towns tavern at the entrance a priest was attempting to hold everyone out of the tavern saying "Leave the child be"
Now seeing this I'd had enough today without people spitting on the good name of magic so Morvious and I approached the crown and used a mix of our own spells to get them to back off.
The Priest thanked us profusely and we learned her name was Colara she was aiding the so called witch who turned out to be an 8 year old halfling boy who was hiding under the table clutching a book too his chest.
This book happened to be one of my favourite series in the multiverse in fact last I heard there were only 3 in the series now there are 27.
Sorry I that was a bit pointless to put in where was I?
Corlara explained to us that the boy was in the care of the Dwarf innkeeper and had been accused of 12 murders happening around town because each person that died had been in contact with the boy known as Daemon.
However these people were not exactly kind to Daemon and one threw a glass at the poor boy and turned up dead the next morning.
Going by Colaras and Daemons words she said the boy had no magical abilities whatsoever, so my next thought would be to check the bodies of the diseased.
I left Morvius and Reeze to settle things in the bar and follow Colara to where the bodies of the victims were being held.
Along the way she mentioned her husband Zenith who had fought and killed a necromancer by the name of Mazargo who was attempting to become a Lich however Zenith had lost his life in the process. I would later regret asking what they did with the Necromancers body.
When we reached the bodies I after some close inspection and... Vomiting I deduced that there was no magic involved in this whatsoever. The body almost looked like a wild animal attacked them but it was torn to shreds.
However something was different the bodies had no bite marks, All the vital organs were punctured judging from the blood loss the man was still alive as this happened to him it was truly a horrible fate too befall anyone.
It was also safe to rule out Werewolves vampires and Ekimaaras, Because no teeth marks were found on the bodies and the blood was all over the place left untouched even an Ekimaara would not resist a lick or two.
After regrouping I found out that the rest of the party had also been investigating while I was away, And with that we got a lead too the graveyard near the edge of town so that's where we went.
As we got there we saw that many of the graves had been disturbed and all the bodies recently buried had been taken from the graves, We even came across an empty grave that looked as if a tree had been uprooted and slowly pieces began to come together.
They had buried Mazargo in this graveyard and when a necromancer dies they have a small chance to grow what is known as a Corpse Plant out of their corpse that plant then proceeds to gather as many fresh corpses as possible.
This did not meet the same story as to what was going on in town but if something like this continues there will be a lot of trouble in the future.
We eventually found the Corpse plant and if the graveyard did not smell bad before from the rot and decay it was ten times worse with this thing.
After a fierce battle The plant fell and Morvius burnt the body of the necromancer for good measure.
It was then that the corpses of the cemetery's inhabitants spilled out of the plant and also the soul of a Paladin who I recognised as Colara's husband Zenith.
We asked him if he knew what may have been attacking the town and he told us it was a Bone Claw.
I had never heard of such a creature but he went on to explain that they attach themselves to willing and unwilling subjects sometimes the subject does not even know that they have one and they act on their emotions if the subject see someone or something as a threat the bone claw will attempt to kill it.
Zenith also mentioned how to get rid of the bone claw either we have to kill the person subjected to the bone Claw or redeem him by making him see the error of his ways.
As we learnt of this information we tried to return to town when we heard something coming from a grave that was recently filled, so we dig it up and I open the coffin and of course there is a skeleton in there but it was moving.
I promptly got out of there grabbing Mordy as I ran and hid behind a tombstone, I then saw Reeze and Morvius talking to it and even take it with them I really hope they do not let it near me that thing is really disturbing.
As we arrived back in town we saw the tavern being besieged again however the innkeeper and Daemon were no where to be found.
Colara explained that the leader of the crowd was murdered hours ago and The innkeeper and Daemon fled the town.
I decided to send Mordy out to find them he spotted their tracks and followed them as I came out of my trance by a small slap from Reeze I put a haste spell on her because she was faster than any of us and could get there quickly.
Also I had faith in Reeze I knew in the end she would do the right thing even if she was careless at times she is a good person.
Morvius and I soon arrived after Reeze talked the Innkeeper down telling him that we know whats happening now.
Morvius explained to The Dwarf what was going on and the Dwarf told us that Daemon was all he has left after he got back from the war he found his family dead.
We all could relate we lost our families too and it felt like just yesterday to us but it was 500 years ago.
Reeze offered to show him what he was controlling and as soon as she said that she slapped Daemon and the Bone Claw came charging at her as The dwarfs face turned red with rage, but as soon as he saw the bone claw his expression softened.
I was about to get up and do something but the Bone Claws attacks just went straight through her and then it disappeared leaving the plane of existence from what I could tell.
It all wrapped up after that. I returned to the town to inform the Calara of what happened and gave her Zeniths last words and she rewarded us with 6 healing potions a magic ring and 500 gold.
As I headed back to the cave however things started to catch up with me Cyrus, the people dying of the rot and now Artie.
I know I have to be strong for Reeze and Morvius right now because they lost a lot more than I have I have to put myself aside to look after them.
It's times like now that I wish I could be more than I am, I want to be like Reeze and Morvius Reeze for her strength and just all around quick thinking and determination and Morvius for his Charmful personality and how he can talk too anybody without hesitation.
I have been keeping it together all day but I just had to take a moment to myself to shed a few tears for the people we lost I just want them to come back if only there was a way.
I returned to the cave putting on a brave smile for my companions as I shared the gold and potions with them putting the magic ring in my pack but telling the party about it and if anyone desired it they could have it.
I had a pleasant conversation with Daemon who said that he had a spare copy of all of the lord of the blings books that he would gladly let me have but only the second edition books.
This cheered me up a lot maybe some reading would help.
I was actually surprised when Reeze went to... what did she call it oh yes she went to high five me it is bassically where we slapped hands together I did feel a very exciting feeling from that it was a lot of fun.
Morvius however hugged me I knew he probably just needed support so I hugged him back he turned out to be a nice guy he may be a bit mischievous at times but he has a good heart.
Day 7: Escape
Today is the day we decide who goes through the portal to the new world.
Black Staff has issued us each a number, it turns out that the people going through will be determined by drawing lots.
I figured I should write in this one more time in case my number is not drawn.
53 is my lucky number for today I guess.
I know not where I am going today whether I stay and accept my fate or I leave through the portal and take my chances.
I just hope my friends are going to be there with me right now they are all I have left and I will protect them with every fibre of my being while holding the teachings of my mentor Cyrus close to my memory.
If fate has decided to let me fight another day then I will do what I can.
Day 6: Hope?
We were not even awoken by Master Black Staff this morning with a mission to complete.
Instead we go out and find an airship flying right up to the floating castle.
I caught snippets of conversations about how these adventurers are our last ditch effort to save this world, and how they closed the Croatoan gate back in Aeos.
Thoughts of the world returning to normal and going home flooded through my mind.
Hope shot through my heart as I saw what I think was a paladin on a horse jump onto the castle and head straight in and from what I could see a strange man in a red hat and another paladin being stopped by a strange armoured being atop a flying white horse.
The unknown being landed and dismounted the horse sending it after the man in the red hat but the man cast a spell which did not look very effective.
The battle drew out but I believe it stopped as the paladin was turned to stone.
My heart sank as I saw the Man in the red hat start to panic and stood in fear then I lost track of what happened as the air ship exploded.
I ran for cover as I heard the screams of the crowd.
Their final hope gone this world was coming to an end.
Day 5: To the Library
I could not say that I was looking forward to this next job even though it was in my most favourite place in the world I knew that because of the limited things we can take through the portal a lot of the books will be left behind.
Black staff assigned this job to us to find as much useful knowledge we can to take with us to the new dimension.
I swear I have heard the joke before about the Wizard and the Cleric walking into the library a thousand times before but it was unfolding in front of us as we walked into the library.
I offered to help the wizard pick out book who was being very sensible about the matter taking the necessary things however the cleric was hearing none of it.
The cleric wanted to take the scriptures of gods and there were too many to count and when Reeze and Morbius had to use their authority to get him to step down.
After that however he began defacing the books we were putting in the wagon so he was not only hurting books but he was endangering the lives of everyone in the city.
We had him removed from the library by the guards and continued with our work uninterrupted.
There are only 2 days left now until the end I am losing a lot of meditation over this I can barely concentrate.
Is there really nothing I can do for this world?
I look constantly through books of lore and my spell book but nothing!
We need a miracle right now and the God's have selfishly abandoned us.
This is why I tried not to get into deity's too much nothing but blood sacrifices and how they will smite us if we don't do what they want us too.
That's it for today I'm done with it.
Day 4: Battle at the church
Naturally when the apocalypse occurs aggression starts to go toward the church.
People making arguments that "Your faith lied to me" Or "It was you that brought the apocalypse upon us through your false prophet".
These were some of the arguments we had to hear as we were stopping these ingrates from burning the church down.
Morbius found out that by cutting the head off the snake the rest would follow suit. So he managed to take out the leader and the rest fled being chased by Mordy with his dragons breath.
As the day was coming to it's end and I'm writing this I think I have been contemplating going to the floating castle above us but the guards warned me that no one returns if they go up there.
So our only real chance at survival is getting into that portal to the other world Black staff promised us a spot in.
I want to think this world will be saved in that time... but I know that will not happen.
I have had the guards send a message to Cyrus just in case he had a change of heart and wants to come too I hope he is alright.
Day 3: Sickness
Today we were asked too go to a lower section of town where a wall had been built to keep people into a certain section of town.
The reason being is that "The rot" a nasty disease to catch where the inflicted are decaying even though they are alive they walk around like a zombie until eventually the body gives out and dies.
We were ordered to keep the people in... there were so many... Asking to be cured, cries of "I'm not inffected" and pleas for death.
I had to come up with something so I asked the guard captain to gather the best alchemists they had to try and make a cure for the people and I gave them the last of the fungus I used to help Cyrus in order to help.
However it would be a few days before the cure is done and not everyone was willing to wait that long as they rotted away.
Artie suggested making a poison to give the people for mercy.
It was at this time I stepped back from the conversation.
I was always told to use my magic for good but when the time calls for it not even my magic can help those who are suffering.
In the end some people asked for death and Reeze along with the guards shot them down, some waited for the poison and others for the cure.
In this time however we noticed someone side out of the barricade who was clearly infected we could not let this spread so our team immediately struck him down with firebolts.
The day was done there many people died some by arrow others by the poison Mr Artie provided.
It's times like these when I wonder what would Cyrus do he would have found a solution even a cure unlike me who later found out that no one survived that day.
I sit here now writing this, Mordy in my lap and my friends asleep in their beds.
It's times like these when I know I have to be strong I know I can't fail but when all of this happens I just want to go back to the library..................

Day 2: Looting In town
Today we were asked by Master Black Staff to stop the people looting the shops in town by any means necessary.
This proved to be challenging because of Morbius's plan of trying to look like a demon to intimidate them into stop looting and running away.
Some ran but most of them started pelting him with rocks I guess when it's the end of the world people do not care and just go for what they desire... Stupid people anyway.
The threat was managed and the looters eventually left.
We were all thanked and we promptly left.
Later that night though I noticed Morbius come in with a telescope I of course rolled my eyes and ignored it knowing he was an honest man and would have paid for it.
Well this is it for today I will update tomorrow.
Day 1: The beginning of the end
Dear Journal... I think that's how you start one of these things Cyrus told me to keep one after he told me that his life was coming to a close and he had heard the end of this world was coming soon and wanted me to go on without him because he would only slow me down at getting out of this dimension I respected his wishes he was a good father to me and only wanted the best for me.
So Miss Reeze, Mr Artie and I headed for Waterdeep.
We had heard rumours from Cyrus about the end of the world coming and how a giant castle hung above the city without any wires such a site was fantastic in a way.
We arrived in Waterdeep after escaping a prison wagon which I have no idea how we got in, My guess is Reeze and Artie getting into trouble again and I was caught in the crossfire along with our new friend Morbius.
He seem's nice enough I would like to study him a bit more I have never seen a tiefling before.
As we entered the city we saw a lot of people saying that the end was here, and when I took a look around it was like something out of an apocalypse novel Looting, fornicating, and for some strange reason Ghosts walking around town it was curious in a way.
We later went to the local tavern where more fornication was happening I had to throw a blanket over two participants to try and give them some decency.
A man even approached me saying "Hey you let's fight!" Now this man was very intimidating and getting rather close so panicking I hit him over the head with my staff he went straight down most likely due to the alcohol.
It was then that Master Black Staff entered this man is a great wizard I could not believe that he was right in front of me so I had to very calmly ask him to sign my lore book.
He also had a task for us to try and uphold the peace in waterdeep which I gladly accepted it was an honour to serve Master Blackstaff.
We later rested in our accommodations for the night Mordy by my side at least he and my friends are with me...
I miss Cyrus.
New world chapter 2: Brindol
We bid farewell to the couple on the ship after arriving in Brindol where we were stopped by the guards at the gate asking why we were here and what our professions were.
I gave the answer of Librarian which I technically was.
We all got into the city and we decided to take a break and head for the laughing Manticore inn to spend the night.
The inn was filled with many people and Adventurers alike.
We all spent the night and I asked Reeze if she had completed the activities I had set for here.
I failed to mention that Reeze had asked me for help in spelling words and asked if I could teach her bigger words in the future I agreed of course I'm not sure why maybe it was because she reminded me of myself when I asked Cyrus to teach me how to use spells.
Of course Reeze had not completed the tasks and from what I saw she was doodling on the worksheets prepared for her. I won't lie my feelings were slightly hurt but I'm sure she has her reasons.
We also came across a request wall at the inn postings of several jobs were on there and we each decided to take the day off today and take a job each, but we also decided to do one together before we set out.
Our group job was to remove an unruly adventuring crew from the The Stone Wyvern inn.
As soon as we got there I had to admire it, It was truly a sight to behold a real Wyvern petrified in the moments of combat it was remarkable no wonder this place got so many customers... well before the adventurers came.
I asked the bar man for information on the adventurers and these people pretty much people right out of a book who argued constantly about how much treasure they should all get.
Morbius bought us all drinks no alcohol for Reeze and I though it's not a good idea for us to be drinking, however the half orc grabbed all of them and drank them all spilling more than he drank.
Of course this started an arguement with who looked to be the bard and this gave me an idea.
I asked them which of them was the leader and of course they all thought it was themselves, I then said that the half orc was the one that appeared to be the leader.
The Half orc then tried to take a massive portion of the treasure this caused an arguement and the bard leapt at the Half orc and they started fighting rolling around on the floor like children spilling treasure everywhere.
What appeared to be a rogue was taking the treasure and I looked to the tiefling pointing out the rogue as he was gathering silverware from the floor.
I then said "Are you going to take that from someone like him?" Of course this would be a bad idea on my part as the tiefling cast a thunder wave spell and caught everyone but Reeze up in it as I was blasted through the window of the bar.
I lost track of what happend inside the bar and the next thing I knew the rogue was coming toward e severely slowed down so I tripped him up with my staff and put it too his chest... He then proceeded to stab me in the leg but I still held him down.
Reeze suddenly came out of nowhere and knocked the man clean out she then proceeded too hit me with a stick for no reason It really hurt and I woke up a few minutes later after being knocked out.
Morbius even discovered that the silverware that the adventurers had with them actually belonged to a nearby noble who we left to visit the reason being we needed gold otherwise we would not last long in this place.
I lost track of what happened in the mansion the books in that library were truly magnificent I do not even remember requesting a coffee but I had one but I was also being dragged out but my companions of course I was disappointed that I could not keep the book but I heard Reeze use one of the words I taught her and I was so very proud of her.
The pride soon fell when I saw Mordy stuck in a tree... I mean seriously a cat with wings gets stuck in a tree... How does that even happen? Of course we got him down and rested back at the inn
The next day we all split off Reeze going to deal with Ghouls and Morbius going to entertain a childs birthday party.
Me however I was to play the role of body guard to a wealthy merchant who said I was did not look like much, But I would have to do.
After being his personal luggage carrier I noticed a shadow of a hanged man in a shop window it was strange I swear I have read about something like this before.
I ran into the shop where the merchant was and he dropped his cake as soon as told him about what I saw and at that moment I could smell death as a woman with a noose around her neck came into the shop.
I confirmed my suspicions at the sight of this creature this was a revenant, A person met a cruel undeserving fate from a person or persons.
The only way I know of getting rid of a revenant is to let it have its target or wait until its time is up and it fades to the after life.
The merchant told me that he had killed an innocent woman over her being a witch which this would meet the requirements of becoming a revenant.
I felt disgust for the man I was protecting had it not been for my masters teachings I would have just let him die right then and there instead I cast fly on him and forced the revenant out of the shop and told the man to jump out the window surprisingly he did it but was still grabbed by the ankle by the revenant.
I grabbed onto the revenant myself and the next thing I knew we were over 60 feet in the air I told the merchant to fly down but the revenant lost it's grip on the merchants ankle and we both fell.
I somehow managed to over power the revenant forcing it to break my fall but then it suddenly disappeared.
I saw the merchant flying away over a roof top and disappear onto the roof as I ended the spell to try and let him down safely.
I did not get paid for that job I am done with that man anyone who would do something so unforgivable is someone I do not want to be work for or take his dirty coin.
We figured it would be better to press on the next day so we all acquired a horse and headed for the destination where the treasure was on our map that we received.
What comes next? Well I can assure myself it won't be a light at the end of the tunnel it is something a lot deadlier my reason being I had a strange nightmare last night.
In this dream I saw my companions and I on top of a snowy mountain during a blizzard and suddenly a giant demon with praying mantis like arms came at all of us and that's when I awoke.
My companions told me that they had similar dreams and Reeze showed us Arties journal showing that he had this dream before us.
Cyrus taught me never to ignore any dreams he believed some could be important to the past present or the near future and with what we have experienced I have no doubt in my mind that the same thing that destroyed our old world may be coming to this one too.
When the time comes will we even be ready? Nothing could stop them before what gives us a chance?
