80. The Guiding Light Report

General Summary

12th Barrakas, 999 YK

• They successfully hold off the undead until the ritual completes. A few of the undead make it to the top floor where Lozaal Daashor and Kalshana wait, but most of them get stuck on the stairs due to the ball bearings.
• Lozaal and Kalshana push the barricades out of the way on the top floor because they are bored.
• The vampire ran up the side of the lighthouse but was intercepted by Zedd, who dragged it off the wall and dropped it onto the rocks, where Warden finished it off with a Guiding Bolt.
• The ritual completes successfully, and Dax' Athla  recovers the Khyber Shard. She puts it in her bag of holding.
• Kalshana talks to Kyojin in the aftermath of the assault. She releases him from the bindings and they agree that they cannot see eye to eye (not least because he's so tall wow). Kal mentions that there are other Oni in Khorvaire, specifically in Sharn and Droaam.
• Kyojin is very interested in that information, and then leaves to retrieve his armour and weapons.
• They take Nashana's body to the boat, Tete Shaat'aar doesn't want to try and resurrect her in the Mournland.
• They take as much salvage as they can from Seaside.
• They agree a new fee to get the Nimble Escape to take them back to Rhukaan Draal. They take Tete Shaat'aar with them, both so that he can resurrect Nashana and also because he's going that way anyway!

13th - 14th Barrakas, 999 YK

• Kal uses Gentle Repose to preserve Nashana's body until they resurrect her. Tete Shaat'aar informs them that Gentle Repose will preserve the body, but Dolurrh drains the soul and if they wait too long, there won't be enough of Nashana left to bring back.
• Lozaal asks Kalshana to teach him Riedran. He feels the interaction with Kyojin may have gone differently if he was able to communicate with him.

15th Barrakas, 999 YK

• Tete Shaat'aar resurrects Nashana. She is confused and disoriented, she doesn't know what year it is, what the Mourning was, that the war is over. She has a lot of information to process. Everyone she knows is dead and she's lost everything. The party recommend New Cyre.
• They leave her to meditate while they discuss options. She has a few, between New Cyre and Sharn.
