General Summary

28th Rhaan, 999 YK

• Maril Baker gives each of the party a lightning rail ticket that will cover their expenses in Breland for one journey.
• Xandrar doesn't have a Lightning Rail station tho lol
• They head off towards Passage.

1st Sypheros, 999 YK

• It's the Ascension! Dax' Athla celebrates by giving 10 gp to an orphanage.

9th Sypheros, 999 YK

• They arrive in Arcanix, Dax bought Silvery Barbs and Illusory Script.
• Kalshana buys Find Familiar, in preparation for Dax's birthday on the 14th.

10th Sypheros, 999 YK

• Warden hunts and kills 2 finches with a single stone.

14th Sypheros, 999 YK

• They arrive in Passage on Dax' Athla's birthday!
• Warden made a cord of finch bones that Dax can wear.
• Kalshana gave Dax the spell she bought for her.
• Lozaal Daashor gets Dax a piece of paper that says "One Free Favour, no questions asked". Score.
• Terfel Glas gets a bow charm on a bracelet for Dax, a token from the "House of Glas".
• Llyr Glas got Dax a ticket to his next production, a play at the school in New Cyre, "Broken Sword" by Kessler.
• Dax gets a Sending from Drego Sarhain, included below, whilst buying the components for Find Familiar.
• Terfel buys a +1 Halberd so he doesn't get shafted by resistances again.
• They get on the lightning rail. Terfel is going to Starilaskur and then to New Cyre from there. The others are going to Sharn.

16th Sypheros, 999 YK

• They arrive in Sharn. They immediately head up to Morgrave University.
• They know that Flamewind resides in Lareth Hall, and that the dean doesn't allow people to see her. They discuss plans to get to see her.
• Warden and Kalshana ask around to get a vibe about the university.
• Dax and Lozaal go into Lareth Hall and do their best to look like they belong, which they do masterfully. Lozaal pretends to be Professor Zaal, a visiting professor, and Dax is his assistant. They make their way up to the top of the tower, the library.
• They find a locked door, which Lozaal opens, leading into top of Lareth Hall.
• Once inside Lozaal hears sobbing, and listens. There is a very upset ogre, named Karg, who is sad that everyone thinks he is stupid. He is struggling to understand the deeper themes in Luca Syara's Five Lives. The half-orc Jia Braun is attempting to comfort him.
• Karg also has a dhakaani sword strapped across his back. Uh oh.
• Lozaal and Dax approach, and learn more. Karg is struggling to understand the themes in literature, though he is very aware of exactly which themes he is struggling to grasp? He paid for his tuition by selling Dhakaani artifacts that he found in a ruin in Droaam. He doesn't remember who he sold them to, but he sold them in the Kalabas district of Graywall.
• It's his sword though, it's not for sale.
• Lozaal presses the issue, and Jia gets defensive on Karg's behalf and tells him to back off.
• It seems that conflict is inevitable when Flamewind drops down from the ceiling and tells the students to leave. Lozaal tries to stop Karg and gets shunted through time/space?
• Karg and Jia leave, quickly. You don't wait around with Flamewind.
• Lozaal reappears and immediately goes to look for them, despite Dax's protests. Flamewind tells Dax to stop him, and get the others.
• Lozaal does some scoping of the university, and finds out where the dorms are. He can't find much information on Karg, but everyone knows who Jia is. Seem's she's a gifted transmutation wizard from Karrnath, and she has made it her mission to heal the Mournland.
• Dax returns to the others and informs them that she thinks Lozaal is Dhakaani. What a bombshell. They need to find him before he or Karg gets hurt.
• They can't find him, he's too good (and lucky!) at social stealth, so they return to Flamewind. Thankfully, so does Lozaal.
• They have a discussion with Flamewind about the prophecy, she's helpful in some ways and frustrating in others.
• The revelations can be summarised as thus:
• There will be an unprecedented celestial event during Long Shadows this year, six full moons at once for three days.
• The Shadows of the Tower could mean many things, there were towers in Droaam prior to the fall of the region. It used to be a jungle! Flamewind indicates Lozaal can explain.
• Sora Teraza is a gifted oracle and is likely aware of the prophecy, the timing and location of the summit is likely not a coincidence. The question is which side is she on?
• The Lords of Dust and the Chamber are also certainly aware of the prophecy and will potentially be acting on it.
• The Lords of Dust are a loose alliance of fiends from the First Age, who seek to release their ancient masters the Overlords. The Chamber are dragons from Argonessen.
• The Wild Heart is an Overlord, oh jeez. Flamewind refused to elaborate further on this.
• I think there was more said but I can't remember D:

Sendings

Drego Sarhain: "Dax, there's a summit in Droaam in Vult and I've been assigned to it. I'll be on the road. Oh, happy birthday!"   Dax' Athla: "Thank you Drego! I will also be attending the summit as we are accompanying Prince Oargev. I have learned a lot since last we met!"   Drego: "Oh! Fantastic, I shall see you then! We'll not think too much about a Thranish Templar accompanying Prince Oargev of Cyre"   Dax did not reply :(  

Later That Day

Kalshana: "Hi Bob, I am looking for some baubles from your barn. Where are you based? Thanks - Kal x"   Big Bob: "What the fuck? Where is that voice coming from? I don't remember a Kal, how did you make that sound at the end. Who's asking!?"   Kalshana: "I bought some items from you before. I'm using a sending spell. I'm Kal, I bought the turntoad and cool glasses. Where are you?"   Big Bob: "Is this an advanced form of advertising? How do I cast this? I'm currently set up in Thaliost, but nobody's buying anything though"   Kalshana: "I learned it through the good word of il-Yannah, it's hard to explain. Probably could ask someone. Thank you x"   Big Bob: "What the fuck is an il-Yannah and why do they have good words? Who do I ask??"
