73. Prophecy is Vague and Frustrating Report

General Summary

1st Lharvion, 999 YK

• After some discussion, the group has 3 weeks of crafting they want to do. Kalshana is anxious to deal with whatever entity is calling to her from Seaside, and would like to leave after a week.
• Lozaal Daashor goes into New Cyre to purchase an assortment of cheeses to convince Kalshana to wait a little longer.
• Kalshana produces one of the bracers that Dah'mir used on the Kalashtar, and asks if Lozaal can help her to work out what it does. He accepts, and Kalshana gives him the bracer.
• They enlist the help of Siebold Adelbertskrieger and Lei d'Cannith to help them craft what they want in a shorter time.

  They are going to spend 2 weeks crafting a +1 Longbow, A Bag of Holding, and Boots of Elvenkind. Between the four of them (Lozaal, Dax' Athla, Lei and Siebold). Lei will attempt to repair Sheriff after they leave, and then start working on the cannon.  

2nd Lharvion, 999 YK

• In the evening, Dax' Athla attempts to meditate.
• She found herself in the garden of Avrahk Mbar'ost, but during the day. The sun is warm on her face, and then it began to freeze over. Intense cold washed over her, and she began to freeze outside of the vision. A black-scaled snake coiled around her, and offered her warmth. Dax tried to push it away, and it just made her colder. It began to show her visions of what she did when she was possessed, of her slaughtering her own people. Dax tried to attack it with a spell, which almost hit Kalshana outside of her vision. Her chromatic orb burned the snake, which then took on a form similar to herself, but corrupted. She told it to leave, and it did.
• Dax is very cold when she wakes. There is a group effort to warm her back up, and she talks about what she saw with the others.

 

3rd Lharvion, 999 YK

• Batul arrives at Avrahk Mbar'ost.
• They have an extended discussion about the nature of the Draconic Prophecy, and the specific prophecy output by the Oracle of War.
• Batul identifies 4 actors mentioned in the prophecy, the dark lanterns, the silver torch, the wild heart, and the court of the king of beggars.
• It also references a potential timescale and location. A tower, when 6 moons cast long shadows. Batul also speculates this could refer to Long Shadows, the holiday in Vult, which coincides with 6 consecutive full moons this year.
• They also remember that they are aware of another scholar of the prophecy; Flamewind the Sphinx.
• Terfel Glas will enquire about how Flamewind might be located.
• After the discussion of prophecy, Batul returns to the Shadow Marches. He steps into a bush in Warden's garden and then is gone.

• They're done crafting, time to go!
• They depart Avrahk Mbar'ost, taking the two horses, Zedd, and Kalshana's flying broom.

• They approach the entrance to Marguul Pass.
