Supporting Cast
  • Lady Alice Humboldt
Alice is a tall, severe woman with a steely gaze, graying hair in an uncompromising bun, and a perpetually tight-lipped expression that exudes disdain, especially around her husband, Bertrand. Alice Humboldt, trapped in an arranged marriage to Bertrand, despises his ineptitude and grasps for power herself. As a stern and calculating noblewoman, Alice is focused on reclaiming influence through strategic moves in Minroe’s newfound trade opportunities.
  • Telsword Alina Marcholl
Alina is a sturdy, dark-skinned woman with short, close-cropped hair and a serious expression. Her posture is disciplined, and her Purple Dragons armor, though scuffed, is worn with pride and purpose, suggesting a woman who values her duty above status. Summary: Alina Marcholl, a seasoned member of the Purple Dragons, was assigned to Minroe after standing up to a higher-ranking officer for endangering her squad. Though she resents being sent to a “backwater” post, she remains steadfast in her duties and treats the assignment as a challenge to her principles.
  • Lord Bertrand Humboldt
Born into a long line of minor nobility, Bertrand inherited his title young and immediately fancied himself an adventurer, though he never succeeded beyond the planning stage. His duties now involve collecting meager taxes and making grand (but ineffective) speeches. Despite his lack of influence, Bertrand believes the newly opened trade route is his chance to finally establish some form of power in Cormyr. Overly confident, breathless, and prone to dramatic gestures, Bertrand has the heart of an adventurer but none of the skill or courage. His desire to be seen as important is almost childlike, though his obliviousness often leads to frustration for others.
  • Blade Callaster Prum
Callaster is a solidly built man in his early 30s with chiseled muscles and a squared jawline. His sharp eyes and a perpetual smirk exude arrogance, and his Purple Dragons armor is pristine, a sign of his self-regard. Summary: Callaster Prum is a human guard with the Purple Dragons, known for his serious demeanor and prideful attitude. He takes his duty seriously, though often at the expense of others, seeing himself as a cut above.
  • Blade Dan Ollwinter
Dan grew up with his mother, Meena, in the village of Minroe, unaware that his absent father was the town’s former elven priest. Unsure of his purpose, he joined the Purple Dragons out of a desire to belong, but his lack of training and knowledge often make him the subject of ridicule among his fellow guards. Still, Dan tries earnestly, if clumsily, to do his part. Dan is kind-hearted but inept, and he’s perpetually unsure of himself. He tends to follow others' lead and is easily flustered, often needing explicit instructions for simple tasks.
  • Baroness Elara Krell
Elara Krell is the peaceful druidic wife of Alaric Krell and currently in Minroe to ensure the village remains prosperous.
  • Blade Erdai Greenwind
Erdai is a brawny but somewhat clumsy guard with thick arms and a perpetually confused expression. His Purple Dragons uniform often looks a bit disheveled, and he carries a lopsided grin that makes him appear less than sharp. Summary: Erdai Greenwind, a human guard in his early 60s, is solidly built but slow-witted. Though loyal to Captain Kraskur Harrow, his eagerness often leads to mistakes, earning him a reputation as one of the more inept guards in the Purple Dragons.
  • Swordcaptain Kreskur Harrow
Born and raised in Cormyr, Kraskur Harrow has served the Purple Dragons for over 20 years, climbing the ranks through both battlefield merit and his strong sense of duty. Assigned to protect Minroe, Kraskur is committed to ensuring peace, but his loyalty to Cormyr comes before all. Married to Layn, he finds peace in family life, even if it’s often overshadowed by duty. Kraskur is fair, direct, and practical, with a quiet kindness that endears him to those he protects. He’s slow to anger but unyielding in his sense of justice and duty.
  • Keeper Marek Illimane (Deceased)
Keeper Marek, a sage Elf of 200 years, served as the custodian of Helm's Rest in Minroe. A historian at heart, Marek was deeply versed in the lore of the land, including its darkest secrets. His life’s work is safeguarding both the chapel’s history and its future against the encroaching shadows.
  • Blade Vurg Illhelm
Vurg is a solidly built dwarf with muscular arms, a neat, dark beard, and a thoughtful expression that rarely shifts. His Purple Dragons armor is well-worn but kept in fine shape, and he moves with a calm, unhurried gait. Summary: Vurg Illhelm is a quiet, reflective dwarf in the Purple Dragons, known for his steady demeanor and a laid-back approach to his duties. Though he takes his responsibilities seriously, he maintains a relaxed attitude, often acting as the voice of calm among his comrades.
