Fleshing out the "reign" section

reign organization organisation social section

What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, the "reign" section is limited to a single block. I feel this could be at least somewhat fleshed out with a couple of additions that could be implemented right under the "reign" block.   To better explain what I think could be done, I did quick photomontages of how they would look for a creator, followed by an image of how it would look for a reader. I'm explaining my reasoning for those three groups after the images.         My thought process behind these ideas:   1. Knowing who came before or after a specific ruler is as important as knowing who the "predecessor organization" and the "successor organization" is (see the organization template). It also makes it easier to navigate between rulers instead of having to scroll down every time.   2. Reigning dates tend to be vital information for both worldbuilding and history, arguably more so than birth and death dates.   3. The date of one's crowning and the date of the beginning of a reign can differ. It could also further stimulate the worldbuilder's creativity: is the coronation's location a tradition? (see Reims for the French monarchs) is it located in an unusual place for this nation?

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I feel it would improve the readability of a "ruler" character article. Instead of having to scroll down to access basic reigning information, the most basic information would immediately be visible to the readers in the right sidebar. It could also further incentivize creators to invest in that section.     A final note: While these ideas were initially thought out for the "reign" section specifically, they could potentially be used for any kind of organization: -how long did the leader lead or that important organization member work? ; when and where was the coronation (according to merriam-webster a second definition is "accession to the highest office" but another term might then be preferable). In that case, it might be better to tie those ideas with the affiliated organizations instead.
