draft gm sage drafts custom-content analytics monetization
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, GM+ users can set an specific article to be shown if an user clicks an article they have no access to, useful for people that want to push their monetization or remind users to set roles for themselves.
However, there isn't any equivalent for links to draft articles, so all articleblocks or other links to drafts make the user go to a generic, non-editable page, breaking immersion and not allowing authors to send a custom message about it.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Having an option for users to link to an specific article when a reader clicks on a draft would allow for a more complete and immersive experience.
Additionally (and this is the use I personally want) it allows the author to send a personalized message, such as a call to action for the reader ("Let me know if you want to read this article so I can prioritize it on my list!") and to not have to worry about having their readers go to a link external to their world (breaking the analytics for sage+ users)
What are other uses for this feature request?
Immersive, dynamic articles, for worlds with mysteries that could be linked to unwritten content (Ex: "You have landed in unwritten mystery. The gods tell you to choose a path")
Linking the user to other content to read while they wait for this article to be finished
Call to action for monetization, such as having "bump this draft's priority" as a patreon reward
Call to action for the user to comment with a request to finish the article that landed them there
