Expanding Family Tree Relations (Aunts/Uncles and Cousins)

Currently, family trees only show the parent and sibling relations. I would like it to show the aunts/uncles and cousins of the selected character as well.
I'm aware this could become complicated quickly and overwhelm the server, especially in cases of large families. However, they are close blood relatives that easily have important roles in stories, especially if you're using the family tree to keep easy track of inheritance. It would be nice if I could see them without having to click on the character's parent.
To make it less overwhelming on the server, maybe there could be a way to only have certain characters to be shown instead of all of them.
For example, say the character parent has several siblings but only one of them is important/significant to the story. There could be an option to only have that character shown. The same would go for any cousins. Not sure if that's possible, though.

I cannot say much more than, there is something coming that will cover this But keep in mind that you can click on a child or a parent to automatically reload the tree with them ass the center - so you can actually see grandparents or cousins etc.

on 2022-01-04 23:59The inclusion of grandparents would be handy here, too! There's always the mystery of the lost parents and then the poor unacknowledged grandparent(s) that end/s up raising the child.

on 2022-01-04 14:32I've been trying to make a family that is extremely picky about their bloodline and the purity of the family. Therfore, they have alot of incestuous relationships. I have tried many times to get these kinds of relationships to appear (brother and sister have a child) and the tree gets really confused and creates a second person to be one of the parents. If this feature could also involve that, that would be awesome.

on 2021-12-30 20:51I do like the idea, but there'd have to be some kind of "show this one" thing. I'd love to maybe see this setup for ancestors or cousins that are, say a couple generations above the spotlight person, but are still pivotal to their story. Maybe Mary's immediate family, and then a dashed line off to the side, with a little box about "oh hey, so great-grandma (auntie, 1st cousin, etc) Laura is super important to Mary's story; click to make Laura the focus" (or similar). That'd cut out having too much at once, but also allow you to choose to jump through all the steps. (I mean, it'd pique my curiosity "ooh who's she and why and etc.)
