I've been struggling with the exact same problem and I definatly would adore this fix.
If any major feature could be added, I would hope it could be this. Take all my money!!!
While I rarely use Family Trees, I do see the usefulness in this. Being to able to NOT have to rely on "square" or "circular" character images wouldn't lock people into such a narrow space, and they wouldn't have to crop down their lovely images just to get the face in the correct angle for the character to be properly seen on the family tree.
This would be so useful. I had a thought that it would be good if the family tree portraits could be sepia or black-and-white tone if they person was deceased without having to make their character portrait faded, and this would fix that idea while also making it possible for so many other variations.
i have a character who i primarily address using his secret identity, it would be very hel
This would also solve the issue of needing to create a character article for a dead relative.
I like this idea. Another advantage I see to this is that images don't need to be very big for use on a family tree. Being able to load appropriately sized images just for the family tree would likely improve the performance. Some of my larger family trees load quite slowly now... likely due in part to the size of images.
I love this suggestion. I've been considering switching out all of my character portraits just to make the family tree look nice and uniform. This would be a great alternative to that.
