Notifications Featured-Article
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Whenever someone gets an article featured, it leaves the involved person unaware unless someone notifies him or her about it.
Not everyone will check out their Global Dashboard or the Article Community Page in time to notice a Feature.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Someone being given a notification regarding their article being featured would certainly brighten their day, I would think.
What are other uses for this feature request?
Not that I can think of at the moment.

This request has not reached the required number of votes or community support during its voting time
Considering the fact that in order to see a notification it means you have already logged in on World Anvil and that if you have done correctly you have landed on the Global Dashboard this seems to be a moot point. The only case I can see this being of some value is because you haven't logged in the day you were featured. If that is the case, as a feature, undermines, slightly the idea of daily community engagement.
In addition 99% of the time, if you get featured the chances are that you have received, quite a lost. out of nowhere likes and comments which ... kind of made obvious.
