Coast of Tears

In contrast to the dark lands of Nevae and their misty forests, the coastal regions of Veruun are made up of thriving mega cities populated by anyone with enough coin and sense to flee the mistlands. To the West lays The Crested Coast, where many flock to seek a safe haven in Silver Cliff. To the Southeast lies the Coast of Tears, it's gleaming beaches an inviting sight to anyone escaping the horrors the lay inland.
This shiny veneer shouldn’t be cause for any travelers to drop their guard. Corruption runs rampant and smuggling illicit goods through the Veruun capital of Elfport is one of the fastest ways to strike it rich in Zor - assuming you have the capital to bribe the authorities. The upper class lives very comfortably in Elfport and other coastal cities in Veruun. The lower classes live a different kind of life in Elfport. The slums are notoriously underfed and overpopulated - filled with people from all around Zor who were either too poor or too unlucky to make it big. It’s here that the Port Watch send regular immigration officers to search for elves or other undesirables and jail them. A bustling undercity community does its best to shield themselves from the abuses of power from the elite but their efforts are undermined by several warring factions vying for control of the slums. The Bloody Hand are particularly interested in Elfport because the “survival of the fittest” attitude that the city breeds in its citizens is fertile ground for recruiting new cultists. As a result, wererats and werewolves can be found prowling the streets when night falls.
