Zolus

Thousands of years ago, the various peoples of the land were sunk into conflict. Spurred into war by forces of chaos and evil, they fought amongst themselves for superiority. After generations of conflict, the leaders of all the races uncovered the demonic influences that were manipulating them through the endless cycles of bloodshed. The races came together in a united front, and fought to bring a modicum of peace to the land. After ages of war, The Prince of Chaos was defeated.   Now, the world of Zolus is roughly divided into four kingdoms and a relatively peaceful coexistence exists between them. Two of these kingdoms are based on the main continent, The Flowing Lands and The Empire of Valun. To the south east, is The Scarlet Kingdom, a collection of relatively large islands. Isolated far to the east of the Empire of Valun, is the The Ryukyu Kingdom.   Regardless of the Zolun people's desire for peace, the violent nature of their shared past still haunts them. Tribes of savage monsters and barbarians roam the steppes of The Wild Lands, occasionally making attempts to invade the Empire of Valun. The Shadow Isle also looms ominously in the eastern sea, beckoning to the brave and the foolish to explore or settle it, even though none have ever returned. Even amongst the most cosmopolitan cities of the world, remnants of evil still hold court in the shadows, expanding tendrils of corruption where ever they can.
