The Shadow Isle

To the east of The Empire of Valun, and north of the The Ryukyu Kingdom, lies the the Shadow Isle. Although numerous attempts have been made to both explore and settle, no one has ever returned. Scholars from around the world debate the reason for its inhospitable nature, but none are willing to attempt any approach. Merchant ships from Valun and the Ryukyu give the Shadow Isle a very wide berth when traveling.
