Soprani

Soprani is a purpose built city-state to act as the Captiol of the Protectorate. Sat atop a natural raised steppe, they have also through damning and other manipulations  forced rivers to form a "natural" moat.

Public Agenda

Soprani publicly is the linchpin holding the protectrate together. They are meant to be the unbiased mediator for all Viandes interests.

History

Proposed to hold the new Protectorate facilities, Soprani was purpose built for city life. Governmental facilities opened only 3 years after formation of the protectorate with much of the rest of construction continuing over the next 55 years. Workers were offered cheaper housing to encourage the mass amount of man hours required. However they were only small terraced town houses that were offered. However as the workers began building these, they increased the size of the houses from what is on the plans. This has led to this neighbourhood having very narrow walkways and alleys rather than full size streets. To deal with this merchants and others who need to transport goods through, do so via the roof tops with the citizens climbing to these make-shift rooftop bazaars.
