The Day of the Mother
The Day of the Mother is a religious holiday celebrating the goddess Alaris role in creating the life of the world and mothers and children in general in connection with the goddess. It is celebrated on July 1st every year. It is largely celebrated within the territory of the Listuroni Sultanate and the Tangir Sultanate although, celebration of it can be found elsewhere in smaller numbers. Children often recieve small gifts such as toys and candies and are usually given a break from chores or other duties for the day. Mothers are often waited upon by their husbands and extended family/friends for the day as a way to pay them back for all the work they do.
History
When exactly the holiday came about is not exactly known to most people at large but it is believed to predate even the founding of the Listuroni Sultanate making it one of the oldest celebrated holidays within the world.
