Kobolds
Kobolds are a draconic species of humanoid resembling loosely the dragons that created them. They are mostly found within the Southern Grey Mountains and Northern Grey Mountains. They are distinct from the other species of the world of Zalastor due to their uniqueness in having draconic appearance. They are typically seen as having average intelligence. The species is also known more generally to be excellent miners and to be very timid in nature.

The species is most commonly found within the confines of the Grey Mountains particularly within the Southern Grey Mountains although they can still be found within the Northern Grey Mountains as well in smaller numbers.

Major Organizations
The species is not known to be a major part of any of the major nations of the world. They like the Mountain Dwarves and Goliaths that also live within the mountains mostly exist within smaller clans that dot the landscape. Most of their interaction is with the other local species of the regions they occupy.

History
The species is thought to have been created long in the past by the dragons of the world that dwelled within the Grey Mountains especially the Southern Grey Mountains. They are thought to have been created in several parts of the Southern Grey Mountains but have spread to its northern cousin as well over time. Their creation by the dragons is the reason for their draconic appearance. The species was created initially to be the soldiers of the dragons that lived within the mountains but eventually came to live independent of the dragons in part due to the number of dragons dwindling over time and due in part to their reputation for being more timid in nature. The species has lived relatively isolated within the mountains for most of their existence especially after the majority came out from under the influence of the dragons. Most of the species has instead preferred to stay within their mountain homeland and tend to interact largely with only the other local species of the area such as Mountain Dwarves and Goliaths.
