Yeia

Magic is a thing in Yeia. Its importance cannot be underestimated despite playing a secondary role in my role. Magic in Yeia seems like an internal power, a conection with nature and the divine. There are also some other Core Assumptions regarding magic, those are:  

• Only certain races are born with the ability of using the highest forms of magic. Although there are groups that belief that with training everybody can achieve the most powerful levels of magic.
• Magic users (specially elves) usually subscribe to recognized Schools
or institutions (such as adventurer's guilds or Academies).
• Some cultures approach magic as a gift from the gods, other with curiosity while others see it with open mistrust and have carried out anti-mage/anti magical races persecutions

  Some races have higher lifespans (we are talking about several centuries) than others. For example Elves can live up to 500 years, half-elves 250-300 years while humans live no more than 100 years or so.
