Archdruid Presmaer
Archdruid Iliphar Presmaer
History
Early Life
Part of the third generation born in the Stranian Wilds, Iliphar Presmaer lived a fairly uneventful life until he turned twenty. This changed when Elas Sadia, the previous Archdruid and hero of the first Skorian Crusade, grew too old to continue with his duties. Seeing that his time was coming to an end Elas held a series of three trials to choose his successor.Trials
The first trial was to retrieve a Kefsin Poppy, a magical flower that can be brewed into a tea capable of curing near any ailment, from the far west of the island. Iliphar was able to make use of his knowledge of the island to quickly locate and retrieve the poppy, completing the trial.
The second trial was to tame a great stag said to be an agent of Stran himself. Making use of his tracking skills, Iliphar was able to locate the stag; and, using his magic, was able to communicate with the stag to befriend it and complete the second trial.
The final trial was much simpler, cast a spell using the archdruid's staff. The staff was a powerful artifact that was only capable of being used by a druid that was powerful enough to withstand it's power and who was deemed worthy enough to not be destroyed by the celestial power within the staff; so it served as a final test of character and capability for the druid that would lead Strania. When Iliphar took hold of the staff, it released a beam of energy that was powerful enough to be seen across the island. This display made it clear to Elas that Iliphar was the best suited to be his sucessor
Inheritance and Leadership
After completing the three trials, Iliphar was granted Elas' power and rank as the Archdruid and the mortal vessel of Stran. With this power, Iliphar's already impressive magic was augmented and he gained access to Stran's divine magic. With the position of Archdruid, Illiphar became the gaurdian of the Stranian Wilds; both its wildlife and people.
His newfound power was put to use, only months after he ascended to his new position, when the Church of Skoria launched a second crusade against the wilds. The church had expected a weakened defense based on Elas' old age; and as such sent only a small force to invade. What they found instead was the newly crowned, and very powerful, Archdruid Presmaer. Channeling his full new power, Iliphar was able to not only route the invading force; but also caused an entire new jungle to sprout up, dividing the island in half.
His defense against the crusades quickly made Iliphar a hero among his people; and, with this support, he continues to rule.

History
After hearing of Iliphar's defeat of the Skorian forces, Philleas sought out the person he had heard of. Philleas' curiosity towards druidic magic and the The Great Sanctum's fued with the Church of Skoria, led him to seek out Iliphar and the druids of Strania as allies.
They hold great respect for one another as leaders and spellcasters. This, and their shared distaste for the church, have led them to become close allies
