Kaldan

Kaldan is a small humble village, full of simple people and farmers living their lives, including Korin, Son of Hunter. In this village there is mostly peace and quiet. Everyone tends to look out for their own here, and neighbors often help each other. This peaceful place lies in the south of Balad under the rule of the Lord of Raven.

Demographics

Kaldan is a small village made up entirely of Thalarian - Human peasants and farmers. The population of the village consists of multi-generational families, usually spanning three or four generations.

Government

The village is led by Artur Harden - Vladyka. It falls under the jurisdiction of Ráven, the local lordship, and the latter answers directly to the King of Balad.

Defences

The village has no defenses, not even palisades. House defense is the only way of defense. Such a defense has only common farming tools available, such as pickaxes, shovels, axes, and the like.

Infrastructure

The village is fully self-sufficient, independent of the surrounding estates. The fertile farmlands and orchards in the surrounding area serve as an excellent source of food. Also, the surrounding forests and ponds complement the variety of raw materials that are used here. The village also has its own mill, which belongs to a local farming family. Smaller farms where cows, pigs, goats and other common animals are kept can be found in every yard here.

Assets

The village treasury is relatively poor, as the village is not primarily focused on trade. So the treasury mainly contains only what is needed to pay the taxes and a little more. The village has a varied assortment of home products, tools and grown raw materials. However, everything is of the usual sometimes low quality.

Geography

The village of Kaldan is located in a small valley surrounded by plains, suitable for cultivation and sowing. To the north-east, above the village stands a small hill, above which begins a deep forest, which serves the locals as a hunting ground for wild animals. The surrounding meadows, fields and forests are usually dry because they are located in a relatively warm climate.

Crest of Raven

Ráven is one of the southern provinces of the ballad. Provinces are also called lordships and fall under the administration of wealthier noblemen with the title of at least Lord / Lady.
