The Crimson Corsairs

The Crimson Corsairs is a notorious pirate organization that rules the high seas with their powerful navy and skilled crews. Led by the charismatic Pirate Queen Adira "The Crimson" Blackwood, the organization is known for their ruthless tactics in battle and their insatiable lust for treasure.   The Crimson Corsairs are comprised of two divisions: "The Bloodied Blades" led by Division Leader Captain Kael "The Butcher" Redd and "The Scarlet Scourge" led by Division Leader Captain Selene "The Tempest" Stormcaller. Each division is commanded by a council of skilled captains who are in charge of their respective fleets.   However, the Crimson Corsairs were not always known by that name. They were previously part of a larger organization called the Scarlet Tide, but a power struggle among the leadership led to the formation of their own organization. The Crimson Corsairs now stand as bitter rivals to the Dark Tide, a rival pirate organization led by Pirate King Captain Samuel "Ironheart" Rodriguez. The two organizations often clash over territory and treasure, with the winner taking all.

Sea Shillings are also considered to be collector's items and are highly sought after by pirate historians and treasure hunters. They are often used as a way to authenticate and verify the legitimacy of pirate artifacts and treasure hoards.   As the only remaining remnants of The Scarlet Tide, Sea Shillings are deeply tied to pirate lore and legend. Many believe that the coins possess mystical powers, such as bringing good luck to those who carry them or warding off curses and evil spirits. As a result, some pirates may refuse to part with their Sea Shillings, even for exorbitant amounts of gold.   Despite their rarity and value, Sea Shillings are not universally accepted as a form of payment. In fact, some merchants and officials may refuse to do business with those who carry them, viewing them as a symbol of piracy and lawlessness. This has led some pirates to create their own underground economy, where Sea Shillings are the primary currency and accepted by a network of trusted traders and suppliers.   While both The Crimson Corsairs and The Dark Tide may recognize the value of Sea Shillings as a historical artifact, they are unlikely to use them as their primary currency. Instead, they may choose to mint their own coins to represent their respective organizations and establish their dominance in the pirate world.   Dark Doubloons are the currency used by The Dark Tide, minted out of electrum. They have a blackened appearance, featuring the image of a skull on one side and the symbol of The Dark Tide on the other. These coins are used as a means of exchange in black markets and among assassins.   Bloodied Crowns are the currency used by The Crimson Corsairs, also minted out of electrum. They have a crimson-red color, featuring the image of a pirate skull on one side and the symbol of The Crimson Corsairs on the other. These coins are used as a means of exchange among pirates and smugglers in black markets and in dealings with assassins.   Both currencies are highly valued among their respective organizations and are used to finance their operations, pay for hired assassins and smugglers, and purchase illegal goods and services. The Dark Doubloons are often associated with secrecy, intrigue, and the darker aspects of pirate life, while the Bloodied Crowns are a symbol of the ruthless and feared reputation of The Crimson Corsairs.   While both The Dark Tide and The Crimson Corsairs have their own currencies, they are also willing to accept other forms of payment, such as gold or silver. However, the use of their own minted currencies is a sign of loyalty and trust within their respective organizations, and it is considered a mark of status and respect among other pirates and smugglers in the black market.
