Mount Roma
Mount Roma is a mountain‑metropolis visible from a full day’s travel away—its outer city wrapping the castle walls like a living rampart. Ancient dwarves carved the first foundations into the range nearly two centuries ago; later rulers layered markets, embassies, and guild‑quarters around that unyielding stone. The newest silhouette is the Great Keep of Roma, raised in the modern era of House Nizan. Beneath the streets lies Romation—the underground sister‑city of vault corridors, workshops, and repurposed dwarven halls now used as royal dungeons and secure storage. Power is displayed on the surface and enforced from below.
Demographics
The city has a population of approximately 50,594, mostly Half-Elf. However, the second largest population is Dwarf. As the lower city of Romation resides right below the main capital of Kingdom of Mount Roma.
Government
Queen Aben Saundersfoot is the daughter of the now Late King Illiard Saundersfoot, who was assassinated in the year 2528. In the year 2528, Lady Aben was married to King Raykin Nizan in a ceremony against her will. A group of adventurers found out that King Raykin Nizan was a Doppelganger. She was then appointed as a council leader along with a member of the various races in Mount Roma to prevent the further discrimination that was represented against the Dwarfs of Romation.
Defences
The outer city encircles the castle walls and fortifications, creating layered gate control. Inside the mountain, Romation’s sealed doors and narrow corridors create containment zones for riots, invasions, or covert movements.
Infrastructure
Surface: ring roads and terraced streets channel traffic toward Council Court and the Castle District; the Cavalcade District functions as the major logistics and cross‑kingdom transport hub.
Undercity: tunnel routes enable secure movement of goods and prisoners; sealed doors and choke points allow lockdowns.

Districts
Embassy Row. Mount Roma’s diplomatic spine: a tightly watched corridor of formal gates, protocol offices, and guarded residences where foreign delegations live and negotiate. With in this district lies embassy for the following kingdoms; Malgos, Saundersfoot, and Tuscaloosa. In the district, a building is dedicated to each embassy and is busy with the inevitable orbit of escorts, translators, scribes, and “quiet rooms” for sensitive talks.
Alchemist/Doctors District. The city’s arcane and medical quarter is the heart of the city. Here, adventurers will find healers, apothecaries, and magic services clustered around clinics, chapels, and ingredient stalls. Some key finds in this district are the following: The Griffon’s Apothecary, Thilda and Marget’s Arcana, Feanarfin’s Wands & Music, and the nearby Arrow of Lightning.
Cobble Court District. The craft-and-forge ward: workshops, smithies, and maker-stalls where practical goods and luxury commissions get built, repaired, and upgraded. On the surface, the export ties in showrooms and specialists like Auciel and Frewill’s Blades and Ditanai’s Leather and Chain, with guild-backed workspaces such as Smelts of Roses (a guild hall for the Authors of Iron). In practice, the heaviest production spills downward into Romation’s industrial tunnels.
Council Court District. The administrative and civic core—your stub calls out the capital building with shops on the edge—so think petitions, permits, judgments, tax records, and the everyday machinery of rule. This is where council chambers, clerks, messengers, and official hearings concentrate, with a steady flow of visitors and “business” happening just outside the formal doors.
Cavalcade District. The movement-and-money hub: gates, caravans, shipping schedules, stables, warehouses, and cross-kingdom trade logistics (your stub explicitly calls it the transportation and cross-kingdom trade center). It’s also where travelers land first, and adventurers visiting Mount Roma can find The Wench and Flask (positioned by a gate/approach) and the Cat’s Lodge (explicitly in an adventurer's quarter and even featuring a hidden hatch down to Romation). Trade institutions also point here by function, like the Roma Minters & Trade Guild and Talon’s Banking and Transport.
Vault of the Sages District. Mount Roma’s learning-and-faith district: libraries, lecture halls, scriptoriums, and temple-adjacent study spaces (your stub calls out “various learnings,” the Bookbinders Guild, and religious sectors). If a scholar needs a nip and rest for the night, The Dreaming Shrew is the place to visit. Those on leave from the Academy of Thorn'Adan and seeking out scrolls to study for purchase facilities like Siberian’s Scriptorium & Throws will allow you to buy a scroll, unlike the Bookbinders Guild.
Solemn District. The noble quarter (your stub is direct): estates, guarded lanes, formal salons, and the kind of services that cater to status—tailors, jewelers, private tutors, discreet bodyguards—where politics happens over dinners instead of in court. It’s the district most likely to feel “quiet but heavy,” with appearances, alliances, and reputations treated as currency.

Natural Resources
Primary resources: defensible stone foundations, subterranean space (vaults, tunnels), ore/stonework potential, and controlled water systems feeding an urban population.
Infrastructure note: The Harmony Aqueduct flows from a hot spring from Loch Ren, flowing into Romation Mountions. The dwarves have learned how to build a stone structure that allows water to flow through all of Romation.
